#22903 Super Mario Wii U

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 04:20 PM in Wii U Games and Software

This is Mario we're talking about, I'm sure it'll be great. Though, as much as I loved the Galaxy series (I truly loved those games), maybe it's time to get the creative juices flowing in rapids more & think of a new idea for Mario.

What I'm most curious about is the art direction for Mario, given that he's gonna be in a 1080p game. Will he look similar to Brawl with more detailed clothing while maintaining his cartoony look, or will they go the CGI-like route? In my opinion, I'm open to either of the 2 (but I'm sure they know what they're doing).

#22902 Phoenix Wright on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 04:16 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I can see the game being similar to its DS counterpart thanks to the touchscreen on the controller. As for the presentation, either 2D sprites in HD (if the devs are up to it) or 3D models. And for sure, full voice acting (with whoever was casted as Phoenix Wright in UMvC3 to replace Ben Judd).

#22849 None of the big first parties at launch?

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 10:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

We already know Pikmin 3 is coming. They could always make New Super Mario Bros. Mii into a full game & release that at launch.

#22848 Retro Studios are working on a Wii U game

Eh, let Retro do whatever they want. They're known for their quality games anyway, so best to let their creative minds flow freely.

#22847 Should Nintendo Partner with Capcom once more?

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 10:39 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Lets take for example this generations game Street Fighter 4, now 3 itterations of the same game with a few added people (which could easily have been DLC) I would say is milking a Franchise. Remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica for XBLA and PSN once again I would say is milking a franchise.

The original Street Fighter 4 wasn't coded for character DLC. As for SSF4:AE, it IS DLC (for $15). The disc is mearly for those who did not buy SSF4. If you own SSF4, just go on PSN/XBLA & download the upgrade. Happy ending.

Anyway, I'm open to the idea, regardless of it's another Capcom-made Zelda game or Nintendo vs. Capcom (either by Ono or Niitsuma, since they're both open to the idea).

#22846 Could Wii U handle SSFIV: AE?

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 10:33 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I would like to see it on Wii U but an exclusive Street Fighter game on Wii U would be better.

Though that would be a good third-party exclusive, it'd completely screw over the fighting game community. A majority of the tournament scene is on PS3 & 360, if the next SF is exclusively on the Wii U, that....wouldn't sit well with a good chunk of them.

Besides, save for the TvC fight stick, there are no TE sticks (like the ones made for SF4, SSF4, MvC2, & MvC3) avaliable on the Wii (though maybe Wii U later on).

#22845 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 19 August 2011 - 10:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

What about if the touch screen was used as an arcade stick?

For the buttons or both? Either way, the game requires 2-button presses for hypers (for example, one of Taskmaster's hypers acts differently when you press L+M, M+H, or L+H along with the QCF motion). And, as we know, the Wii U's touchscreen isn't multi-touch for the sake of precision.

#22760 Phoenix Wright on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 06:03 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Even though Nick lost his badge in AJ, he still does a lot of work for the Courthouse (his top secret Jurist System).
I wouldn't be surprised if they made a game with off the record events.

They could make AJ2, but I'd rather wait for a Vitality Sensor for that one. :D

Who knows, they could fill in the 7 years unexplained in AJ.

Or, they could redo the whole of the first game in sparkly 3D environments.

Nick did say he may take the test again to get his badge back. Maybe they'll go that route for the story.

#22759 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 06:01 PM in Wii U Games and Software

No, don't do it Capcom.
I want MvC4, NvC and MH4 instead.

Don't expect MvC4 for quite a while.

Pff... We'll probably get like 3 differents MvC3's

It's still a good game & it deserves to be on the Wii U. Besides, what other game lets Phoenix Wright beat the crap out of Thor & Amaterasu?

#22707 Which GameCube games would U want?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 12:35 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Only for Japan. Americans and PALians got Trilogy.

Japan didn't get the Tri pack, just as I said.

Quite a few of the GCN-games-using-Wii-controls games made it to the States (Mario Tennis, Pikmin 1 & 2, & Donkey Kong Jungle Beat). Though, as you said, Prime 1 & 2 were just thrown into a better deal (Prime Trilogy, which I own).

#22705 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 12:31 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'd be happy for it to be ported to the Wii U. I'd expect there to be some new features though, and I'd like it to utilise the Wii U controller. It looks like it could be a decent fighting game, so I'd consider buying a Wii U port, should there be one.

Save for possibly a way to do easy specials like in SSF4:3D, I wouldn't expect major changes in terms of controls (they could show you the character's moveset on the touchscreen). Still, there is one mode I was thinking of. The Wii U controller user is Galactus (moveset on the touchscreen) while the other 1-3 characters are on the other controllers (Wii Remote + Nunchuck, Classic Controller, Fight Stick, etc.) trying to take you down.

#22677 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 09:48 AM in Wii U Games and Software

As you may know, I'm a huge MvC fan, & I'm hyped for UMvC3 (yes, I did buy the original MvC3). I was just wondering if you guys would like it if they ported the game to the Wii U (with extras, obviously).

#22676 Phoenix Wright on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 18 August 2011 - 09:44 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I think a PW game for Wii U would be amazing :o
Especially because it would pave the way for more VNs to come to the console. And Ninty actually allows VNs to be localized.

They should totally add Wii-mote support to this :P
Use the tablet to select evidence, point the Wii-mote to prove it! Epicness at its finest!

And hopefully full voice acting (unlike the Wii port of the original game). Though sadly, Ben Judd (Nick's original VA) quit Capcom, so they'll need a new English VA (who they already got thanks to UMvC3).

#22568 Could Wii U handle SSFIV: AE?

Posted by Neoxon on 17 August 2011 - 09:33 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Well if they make this for Wii U they should improve the graphics over the X360 and PS3 versions.

Though they could do that, I think they'd want to use that extra RAM to keep the online as fast as possible. I wouldn't expect a graphical upgrade (though the Wii U can handle it for sure)

Anyway, I'd love SSF4:AE on the Wii U (& hopefully an AE DLC update for 3DS, like the one PS3 & 360 got). I also hope they bring UMvC3 & SFxT to the Wii U.

#22566 Phoenix Wright on the Wii U?

Posted by Neoxon on 17 August 2011 - 09:30 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Anyone who didn't want Phoenix Wright in a crossover fighter?

And look how that turned out...in favor of the PW fans (buying UMvC3 & playing the crap out of Nick, by the way).

Anyway, though I'd love an Ace Attorney game on the Wii U, remember that ol' Nick lost his defense attorney's badge. Unless he re-took the test & got it back, I wouldn't expect PW to take center-stage (though I hope he does).

#21796 is nintendo being cheap?

Posted by Neoxon on 15 August 2011 - 09:44 AM in Wii U Hardware

Eh, many people already have a DVD player, so it's no big deal. Besides, if it means a lower price tag, then I don't see the problem.

#21743 Wii U Wishlist

Posted by Neoxon on 14 August 2011 - 09:28 PM in Wii U Games and Software

New IP, new F-Zero game (I've been dying for a new F-Zero game for god-knows-how-long), new Star Fox game (assuming Star Fox 64 3D does well, which I hope it does), Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (hey, the 3DS got SSF4 at launch, so the Wii U deserves a Capcom fighter at launch), new Animal Crossing game (I'm a sucker for the series, & I'd love to see it in HD), & a few more.

#21741 Possible leaked Smash 4 Roster Found

Posted by Neoxon on 14 August 2011 - 09:22 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Though I'd love for this roster to be legit, I'm not so sure about it being true considering the game hasn't started development, yet.
