Sigh... I realize this is a WiiU forum so I don't expect most of the posters to have a open mind on gaming in general. I am one of the lucky ones that own more than one specifc console(WII,PS3,Xbox360) and I also realize that I probably won't be able to convince you or anyone else on my position. I know this because the truth is most people answer these type of Questions(the poll) based on their experiences and opinions,which to be fair is exactly what the OP wants to know, "Our Opinion". So with that in mind MY opinion Is based on the amount of time I've spent playing RPG's in total and Which of these two Consoles Provided more enjoyment for me. My opinion....PS3 takes the cake. It not only satisfied my gaming thirst for JRPG's but it also sated my WRPG thirst as well. I realize the wii also had its gems but Xenoblade chronicles came a bit too late for MY taste, Although I did play it and enjoyed as well.

As you can see the PS3 Has Three Pages of RPG/JRPG games while the Wii has one and the PS3 had very good RPG and JRPG games compared to the Wii.... So a Tie really?

Yep. I'm going for the goal. I hope it unlocks a secret character or an entire new set of worlds like 3D Land. The hard thing is that the game comes out in a week in Japan. While it doesn't launch in NA, Europe and Australia until mid August. So with the longer period of time ( other recent Mario games had like a one or two week difference in release dates) videos of the levels, bosses, final boss and other spoilers will be more wide spread and can ruin the surprises.

I was thinking that as well. I really hope the WiiU doesn't turn out to be another PS3 where Developers have trouble making games and it takes a lot more time to develop and release games at a slower pace, thanks to a Different Architecture =/

I'm still burnt by my Wii experience and a poor E3 2011 and 2012 not to buy a Wii U straight off unless I know it's future proof for third parties. In this financial climate I can probably only choose to buy one console, I need to know if it's likely that Nintendo can provide a decent enough spec to get ports of 3rd party 8th gen titles as well as high class 1st and 2nd party titles. Cause the only 1st party title(s) that I'm really interested in is Zelda (and possibly Metroid). Not sure if it'd shell out money for a console to play one or two games. Even if the Zelda franchise is one of the best games franchises of all time.

Same here, I was Burnt by the Wii and I am not sure if the WiiU will go the same road like the Wii did. If the WiiU can't handle Unreal Engine 4 or Luminous Engine... then its official the System is not that powerful. I am still waiting to see how much will it cost and hopefully a Offical Spec List. I just don't want to be burnt again =/

Specs wise, it's already a beast, but Nintendo knows how to organize everything to make it better than the sum of its parts. very smart company. Much respect. The Wii U resembles the Wii in name only, but will resemble the GCN, N64, SNES in its power levels for each consoles respective time periods.
