Metro was not canceled, they are putting all efforts into the PS3/360 version for now.. I am sure you will see it on the Wii U in 2013...uh about THQ, they cancelled Metro, and we certainly didnt see any other thing from them regarding to WiiU at e3

They're also making a fitness game for Wii U if my memory is correct, yet that isn't stopping Nintendo from releasing Wii Fit U.
But yeah, I can see Wii Sports U being announced as a last-minute thing. We've still yet to see if anything came of that little E3 2011 game where you catch baseballs using the Wii U pad.
That Wii Sports U promo video of that golf game made a lot of people talk as well, with the Wii U Gamepad on the floor and the golf ball on the screen... Why show it (especially in the Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct video) if you dont plan on releasing it...

Overall I think Nintendo did a good job. In about 3-4 months E3 2012 will be an afterthought... and people will be seeing more of what this system can do... They will be happy in October (which I am guessing is the release month)...

It would be the smart move to make from a business standpoint IMO...
First, I can see Nintendo Land selling on its own. Some people bash Nintendo Land... but pretty much every hands-on preview gave the game rave reviews...
Second, we alread saw Wii Sports U in video form... The golf and baseball games were shown at last yeqars E3.. AND they showed it again in the Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct video...
Third it would be a big selling point for the Wii U. While Nintendo Land does show off what the Wii U gamepad can do, Wii Sports helped sell the Wii.. It had a huge appeal to kids, adults and even senior citizens. It was just a charming addictive game (especially bowling)...
I believe we will have one.. maybe two more Nintendo Direct videos before October 2012... And Nintendo will announce price, release date and a few more titles not announced at E3 (maybe first and or 3rd party)...
This is my own personal speculation... I just do not see Nintendo launching the Wii U without a Wii Sports game. And I know Nintendo.. They like to show everything on their own time (Nintendo Direct)...

Also, I have to actually hand it to Nintendo... They are finally making changes... and they are not as tight-lipped as they used to be back in the day... They have embraced the social media genre as well.. posting stuff on facebook, twitter, etc... A few years that was just not the kind of thing Nintendo would do...
I believe that the Wii U and 3DS will be big players in the coming years... The Wii U games will come... Do we really care about games like SiNG and Wii Fit U? No.. But I hope they sell like crazy!!! Sales = more systems sold... More systems sold = More developers jumping on-board to develop for the Wii U...
We also still have so much more to learn about the Wii U OS...
If anything I am excited about the coming months... This should be a great year for Nintendo fans... Both with the Wii U and 3DS... The 3DS had a lackluster launch and look at it now... tons of great stuff coming... The games will come... This time next year E3 2012 will be an afterthought, and we will be seeing a ton of great software for the Wii U...

General Gaming
What is that one game that would keep you sane until someone rescued you?
It could also be a handheld game/system (complete with your charger)...

Introduction Central
I own GCN and The Mario Report and a few other websites although these sites are not as active as I would like them to be (work takes away a lot of my writing time and my current staff can only do so much). I used to be an editor for Next level Gaming until 7 years ago when I went off to do my own thing... In my daily life I am a lab chemist but I do these websites in my spare time now... But much like most of you I LOVE gaming... It keeps me out of trouble... LOL
I've attended many many trade shows and E3's but did not go this year... Way too much $$$ for just myself and also my job comes before gaming pleasure so I had to pass (which stinks because I wanted to see Wii U in person)...
Own petty much every system i've ever purchased, right down to a near-mint NES system still in box (my pride and joy)...
I do not consider myself a "fanboy" of any one camp or system, I believe that its cool to own and play all systems to experience everything out there... I would say though that I am a closet Nintendo fanboy because its where my roots are... The NES was the system that really got me into gaming back in the 80's...
Glad to be here with the rest of those that love Nintendo so dearly...

Quite a few websites have gone hands-on and are saying good things about Zombi U... I think once people play a lot of these games they will change their minds about the disappointment that most still see to havefrom todays conference...

I believe Nintendo wanted a Mario game at launch... Mario = $$$ So they went the 2D route... And 2D Mario games sell like crazy ...I think its a decent batch of games for the launch window i just wish they would've went a different route with the Mario game i would have much rather preferred like Super Mario Galaxy 3
Example:
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 25.5 million units sold worldwide
Super Mario Galaxy - 10.14 million units sold worldwide
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 6.75 million units sold worldwide
Besides I think a 3D Mario game would have taken a bit longer to develop... We all know that there will be more Mario games in development... As well as Zelda, etc...
At the end of the day it is all about business... thats why we are seeing another Wii Fit... Core games could care less about Wii Fit, but the franchise has sold like crazy on the Wii to casual gamers... and that attracts people who want to step it up to HD an still use Wii Fit and the board... Just like the singing game and the dance games... If those casual games help sell the Wii U I am 100% for them being released... I don't have to buy them...

Since when did looks become everything in a videogame?Better look better than the last of us for PS3. That's all I'm saying on that!
How many years did it take Naughty Dog to perfect that engine? Look at The Last of Us and look at the first Uncharted game... The Wii U system is uncharted waters right now, let developers get their feet wet first... Most companies are just porting stuff from the 360/PS3 so wait until they start making a game from the ground up for the Wii U...
The game Zombi U itself looks promising... But when the world starts to rely on games that just "looks amazing" we as gamers are in trouble...

Nintendo showed off stuff for the core and for the casual gamers in one hour... And its not easy to fit a bunch of content into 60 minutes...
Mario looks awesome... I've been waiting forever for a HD 2-D Mario game and this one fits the bill...
Zombi U looks very promising...
Pikmin 3 looks awesome...
Games like Darksiders 2, Assassins Creed 3, Rayman Legends and Project P-100 look great... And the 3rd party games have a little extra that the PS3/360 will not have...
I also think people need to be patient with Nintendo Land... This will basically be a "This is what this system and Wii U Gamepad can do" game, much like Wii Sports...
Be patient... I've been attending/watching E3 events since its birth in 1995 and IMO Nintendo had a very good show IMO... If you look around and read the hands-on stuff that journalists are experiencing you will see that they are liking what they see and play... I think most of you are disappointed because you expected the world from Nintendo... Games will come...
Look at the 3DS... A year later and the system has a ton of great games coming out... Be patient Nintendo fans...
