Posted by Buoysel on 23 December 2012 - 07:06 AM in Wii U Games and Software

jpeg files are static images...so yes.

#150270 If the world DID end (and it's not) how would you want it to end.

I'd sort of like an ending like this:

Revenge of the old video games.

#148502 How is Skyward Sword?

"Bad motion controls?"

How many of you were just waggling the Wii Remote, instead of actually swinging the Wii Remote like you're supposed to? I've played this game with the golden remote and 3 regular (and relatively old) remotes with the Motion+ extension, and I can honestly say that there's nothing wrong with the motion controls. There is the occasional hiccup, but that's usually caused by my sitting position.

It was a little annoying having to recenter the pointer a lot, but I've had to do that in Nintendo Land, too.

#148276 Wii games on gamepad?

Posted by Buoysel on 15 December 2012 - 06:38 AM in Wii U Hardware

Aw, darn. And it would have been a useful feature, too. It's pretty weird that Nintendo didn't at least make it so where Wii games are viewable on the gamepad, since it has its own senor bar:

#148268 Up or Down How will You Wii U

Posted by Buoysel on 15 December 2012 - 05:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

I have mine standing up, but I'm considering making room for it to lay down. It doesn't look as natural standing up as the Wii did.

#148265 Mii's on the WiiU (Need answers before x-mas PLEASE!)

Posted by Buoysel on 15 December 2012 - 05:45 AM in Wii U Hardware

It's like you didn't even read my post. In the first sentence I countered your statement, and in the second (or third, concerning avatars) I provided the information the OP requested. Lastly, I offered information about "master accounts," which you brought up. Granted, I forgot to put paragraph breaks during the edit, but since when did offering assistance equate to trolling? Even if I may have misunderstood both what you and the OP were saying initially?

Furthermore, the OP wanted genuine answers from Wii U owners, or people who have experienced the Wii U enough to at least know what they're talking about. If you didn't know, why bother replying in the first place? In that case, the one who would be held accountable for misleading the OP (or "trolling") would be you.

#148189 Mii's on the WiiU (Need answers before x-mas PLEASE!)

Answer : I am not an owner yet, but from what Ive read, you can only have 1 acc per wii U... so if you have 2 or 3 kids, they cant have seperate accounts in 1 console.. You have to buy 2-3 consoles.. hehehe

Seems like you've been reading from an unreliable source. The Wii U can store multiple accounts at one time, each with it's own save data for games that can be deleted individually. Mine has 5. Mii's, by default, are required to be used as an avatar for each account. If you want them to show up in games like Nintendoland, then you need to favorite the Miis you want to show up. Miis used as avatars will automatically be favorited.

I think the "master account" is whichever account sets the parental controls. Despite being the original owner of my Wii U, I get no special privileges the other users can't do.

I transferred all of my Wii Miis to my Wii U Mii plaza.
It is doable, I think it's an option on the Wii U Mii plaza main screen.
Again, ignore anyone who says it's impossible, because I have all of my Wii-created Miis on my Wii U plaza.

This. I was able to bring every single Mii I had on my Wii into the Wii U Mii Plaza with no problems at all.

#146743 Are prices the same for digital Wii U games bought from the eShop?

Posted by Buoysel on 11 December 2012 - 06:03 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I usually just save digital downloads for games I know I wouldn't want to get rid of. But for Georgia, it's actually cheaper to digitally buy video games. I don't have to pay sales tax, and since I'll get some of the money back in the form of points for even more games, I'm actually saving money.

#146742 Age of wii u buyers

Posted by Buoysel on 11 December 2012 - 06:00 PM in Wii U Hardware

I'm 19.

#146740 Controllers how many?

Posted by Buoysel on 11 December 2012 - 05:58 PM in Wii U Hardware

I know they all don't require a wii remote, but don't you have to have motion plus if you use the wii remote? Or one with Motion+?

They're the same thing. If a game requires Wii Motion Plus, but you have a wii remote without a Motion+ extention, you will need to buy one. If a remote has it built in, then it wouldn't matter either way.

#146737 I can't believe I'm about to say this... I'm considering getting...

Posted by Buoysel on 11 December 2012 - 05:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

- I know that you can transfer save data from a Wii, but can you transfer data like MK & City Folk (games that use Nintendo WFC)

All saves for games that use Nintendo WFC will be transfered into the Wii U. The saves for Brawl, Mario Kart 7, NiGHTS: JoD, Just Dance 3, and any WiiWare games I had with Nintendo WFC all transfered with no problems.

#146242 What is your most/least favorite Nintendo Land game? Why?

Posted by Buoysel on 10 December 2012 - 08:12 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Octopus Dance and Zelda Battle Quest are both my favorite.

Did you know that in Octopus Dance, you can tap the little octopus on the touch screen to keep him from covering the entire touch screen with ink? It makes the game much easier that way, and then all you'll have to deal with is the Extra stage. You can easily time this when you touch him when he shakes and there's a little pause during the dance.

#118408 Where the crap is sonic?

Posted by Buoysel on 17 October 2012 - 10:01 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Sonic is a douche, Sonic is selfish, SONIC IS A SACK FULL OF DOUCHNESS ! ! ! He was great in the 80s because young boys thought he was bad (there I mean cool), but the problem is, the vision of what is cool changed in the last 30 years, and bad is not cool anymore.

Um...the first Sonic game was released in 1991...

#116877 What was your First Game?

Posted by Buoysel on 12 October 2012 - 07:10 AM in General Gaming

I think it was Mickey Mouse and the Great Circus Mystery for the SNES. I was 3 at the time, so I'm not sure.
