#125986 Post launch predictions

Posted by robb_0909 on 08 November 2012 - 10:45 AM in Wii U Hardware

I think 2013 is going to be a huge year for gaming in general. As for Nintendo, I think E3 has to be huge for them. The next xbox and PS4 will most likely be shown and take alot of the lime light away from Nintendo.

I think it is very important for Nintendo to come out and anounce the next Zelda game, Metroid, mario.....Some huge games that will release next year to combat the xbox and sony systems. I think if they can come with some big titles due out fall 2013, they could do very well next shopping season also.

#125981 Why I won't buy the Wii U (please read)

Posted by robb_0909 on 08 November 2012 - 10:37 AM in Wii U Hardware

I don't know why a lot of you are giving the OP a hard time. It is his choice if he dosen't want to buy the Wii U or not. I also think he makes a very good point. I personal think not being able to play the VC games with the gamepad (and on the Gamepad) is a bad decision by Nintendo, and a costly one. I know alot of people own a Wii (as I use to) but I do not own one now. I would like to buy some of the VC games for the wii U but a big draw for me would be to play them on the gamepad. So as it stands I will not be buying any VC games at this point.

This is my opinion.

#125381 Wii U Mii Plaza English Name Is WaraWara Plaza

Doesn't really matter to me what they call it. I am very happy with all the info we got this morning, even more excited now!

Thats weird....

"Today's Nintendo Direct's broadcast provided fresh details on Miiverse, the feature many have been waiting to hear more about. Dubbed the WaraWara Plaza in Japan, when you power-up the Wii U this is the first thing you'll see on the TV screen."

#124697 My first impression of the Wii U

Posted by robb_0909 on 05 November 2012 - 12:45 PM in Wii U Hardware

I also played it at my local gamestop this past weekend. I have read a few impressions on here saying how light and comfortable the gamepad is but I have to say I was still very impressed. I couldn't believe how great it felt. I am not exaggerating when I say it felt like it was made for my hands.

Also, the touch screen did seem very responsive. I only played a few minutes of rayman but it was gorgeous. All in all, I was very very impressed with the system! Heres to hoping they get the online component right. Can't wait til 11/18

#116897 What size memory stick?

Posted by robb_0909 on 12 October 2012 - 09:28 AM in Wii U Hardware

Cool. Thanks for your help. Now I need to decide which is the best option for me. Is there a noticable deference in the solid state and hard disk drives as far as speed in loading games? Can you tell a big difference, will it affect gameplay? Thanks.

Yes I am talking about flash drives. Flash drives are an option, correct? I think you can get one that is 64GB and that wouldn't take up much space at all.

#116885 Do you really want the deluxe?

Posted by robb_0909 on 12 October 2012 - 08:02 AM in Wii U Hardware

I wasn't really excited about Nintendo Land mainly because I don't have friends over that often (mostly play online) but when you add this and the extra space and the other stuff, it is hard to not go for the deluxe model. Plus I wanted a black console. The more I see of Nintendo Land, the more I want to try it though. I have a daughter who is 4, I will probably spend most of my time playing it with her.

Eitherway, even if you don't want Nintendo Land you can always just sell the game (I think I read somewhere it is a physcial copy).

#116882 What size memory stick?

What is the largest size memory stick that the Wii U will support? I don't know if Nintendo has shared this with us yet but I couldn't find on the internet or with a search here.

Also, what are most of you all doing for alternate storage-external harddrive (solid state or hard disk), memory stick?

Thanks.

#116879 Hello Everyone

Posted by robb_0909 on 12 October 2012 - 07:40 AM in Introduction Central

I am new to the Wii U forums but I have been gaming since NES. I am now a collector of those retro games even though I don't play them that much anymore (besides with my children). Right now I play xbox, ps3 and some wii games. i am very excited about the wii U and the possibilities of the second screen experience. At launch I will be getting the deluxe edition Wii U (pre-ordered), Zombi U, NSMB U, and the pro controller. I will also be getting the Lego Undercover game when it is released. I look forward to sharing in the discussion with each of you.
