Anyone know if u can "call" ur friend on wii u chat if they are in another app like say miiverse, or in a game, or Netflix, etc?.....or do they have to hae the wii u chat app opened as well. If its the latter, it kinda defeats the purpose that I have to tell whomever to open their wii u chat lol might as well tak to them right then and there

So i decided to purchase a game from the eshop since I got a couple eshop cards as gifts......geez big mistake! Should've just sold the eshop cards to someone hehe! I mean I love my wii u and all, no problems whatsoever, but 20 hours for a game download? I have a verizon fios, and no way should a 20gb download take 20 hours!! lesson learned.

I am not comparing, pc is always better, HOW IS IT possible in your tiny mind, to consider any console in the planet, comparing with a pc, are u mad?... Maybe you are a console funboy and nothing more... nobody can say something different than that.. I am not snicking when I say, wii U is expensive for what it offers... Not worth it as a hardware (for me) and I cant offer that money for wii U. So I will wait till the price drops..

I am a pc gamer I cant hide it and THERE IS NO NEED to compare any console with a pc... pc is the ground 0.. I said it before... Comparison is wii U vs ps4, or nextbox... not a PC.. pc kick the water out of them, all... The only differense with consolers, is the exclusives, nintendo with mario, zelda, etc games and other companies with their games. But through my very bad experience with xbox360, I wont buy nextbox eother ways.

So nobody have to speak about comparison. PC CANNOT be compared.

i highly doubt that since neither fedex nor ups ship on sundays on normal circumstances....and in the rare instance they do, its VERY expensive. heck, saturday delivery comes with a premium itself. whomever you called is misinformed.

i guess it depends on the shipping you payed for. if you payed extra for overnight or 2 day shipping, you should have your wii u by thanksgiving. i might stand in line too since my God son wants one. do you know what stores will have extra to sell to those without preorders?

Pc computers is the point 0, is the black hole of the universe in the hardware market.. is the ring that rules them all... Even if a console needs the half horse power to achive what a 2x horse power pc can do. Pc is so versatile, that can always beat any console that will come out.

Pc gamers, tend to buy nintendo than netbox or ps4... Because nincendo makes consoles, not beasts and it offers different experiences than the copy cats of pc games, sony and microsoft offers.

But, my point is not the nintendo wii U horse power, but the cost of that... becareful.. I am not comparing wii U with my pc, because If I do that, I would never consider consoles in my life at all... Am talking about the cost of it, affirmative. Nintendo is not buying the parts from another planet, so we pc gamers, know the prices of the parts, retail and non-retail..

But I am not comparing wii U tech with pc tech... as a versus comparison... I am just saying.. wii U cpu is very old from what I ve read till to date (also the gpu is past due but hopefully strong enough) and the 400 euros, are away to much.

ok, i see your point with regards to pc tech and console tech.....but think of it this way....you may feel that your money is not well spent paying for less than top of the line pc spec...but have you noticed pc games aren't the cream of the crop these days. sure, you'll get the occasional hit now and then, but for every hit you get on the pc, you get 3 or 4 hits on the consoles. plain and simple, you may buy the next nvidia gtx700 series processor, but what good is it if your choice of games are limited? i mean lets face it, developers don't develop much for pc anymore, its all about consoles. when they do, its a crappy port. if you are a pc gamer you should know this.

if it helps, i just called up gamestop.com regarding my preorder, and they said their preorders don't ship till monday,....so the soonest one could get it from gamestop.com would be tuesday. I'm pretty sure its that way with all the online retailers being a sunday launch. i doubt nintendo will allow to break the launch date. all those people who say their preorder shipped already is full of it.

i don't think its a big deal,....i remember back in '06, my cousins and i went to line up for the wii at target the saturday night before an 8am sunday launch. it was super fun camping out with the other gamers playing board games and chillin'. can't do that anymore so i preordered online. the gamestop next to target didn't open for launch until 10am that year.

Just wanted to know if any of you who pre-ordered at GameStop got charged or a shipping notification yet? I preordered mine within minutes of the beginning of them accepting preorders, yet I havent been charged yet, and status says open. I understand normally charges don't happen till the item ships, but I've seen people posting on other forums that they've been charged already.
