Fatal Frame is on the 3DS aswell so there may be a good chance for the Wii U. It's called Spirit Camera.

Gameboy games looked crap on a TV as well but they did it for the GameCube. It would be nice to play Luigi's Mansion 2 on a big 3DTV but I agree, it would be low resolution and might not look too good. I don't think Nintendo would do it as it pretty much failed on the GameCube.

Yeah, it's all down to the size of the screen bud, I'm on a 55" and can tell the difference. It's not a massive difference but it's enough to easily notice the sharper clarity in 1080p.

Hey! Not every 12 year old is like him. (However most are) I like nintendo the most with all their games! Plus, I can't play stuff like cod, so 3rd party support is not that important for me. (Doesn't count for RPG)
I'm not a fan of COD either. probably because I've been a PC gamer for nearly 20 years so I'm bored of FPS games. I enjoy some which incorporate new/fresh ideas but the usual stuff, I just can't keep the interest.

Not sure about those prices on the link above but shopto.net has the PS4 at £400 and the games at £48.99 which seems more realistic, even though the games are highly priced. Could just be a stab in the dark figure so they can get preorders underway though.

I did say that I hope they don't go this route but they was adamant that they were going to stop it but suddenly backtracked on it. I personally think they still have plans for it and yes, you've probably gathered that I'm against it
Believe me when I say that i hope they don't do it and that I am wrong. It obviously is worrying a lot of other people as well due to the numerous posts about it.
As for waiting for demos and reviews etc. there was no demo for colonial marines, no reviews until it was released and only a few days after, the priced dropped considerably so if they can drop the price so quickly, why don't they charge less in the first place as obviously they can live without the £50 RRP? Big games, I have no second thoughts on dropping my cash on them, just received my Tomb Raider today, it's totally awesome and well worth the money but there are a hell of a lot of "standard" games out there that doesn't warrant the outlay and they drop in price so quickly. That's just my view on it, when the 3DS dropped in price so quickly there was uproar, not a lot of people were happy about it and Nintendo felt they had to do something about it, this happens every week with games.
I agree with you when you say that second hand games take away, at least a portion, of revenue from developers but it's essentially how things work, in any business. I have owned numerous cars for example, I have never bought a brand new car, I have always bought second hand. I will never buy a brand new car as they are highly priced and I can get better value with a car that is a few years old for a fraction of the price. It's just the way the world works in any business.
As said, i really hope I am wrong but Sony are seeming to be avoiding the question by saying that the PS4 supports used games but it also supports technology that can restrict them but it's up to the developer if they use it. For me, from a business and customer, I'm against the idea. just my opinion ![]()

Yes, they say they are not going to prevent it but they do not want second hand games around so they could still charge you to activate a used copy. If it's cheap, it won't be a problem but I don't think it will be if that is the route they are going to take. I hope they don't but time will tell.
Also, It's not a matter of caring about the developers, it's more about being told what I can and can't do with something I've purchased. If I buy a crap game, the developers have already had my money and I'm stuck with a crap game that I'll never play and can't do anything with, Colonial Marines springs to mind. I had it for a day before I traded it in against another brand new game so because I could trade, another developer got my money who deserved it.
On another note, I help run a computer game business and we don't stock new titles very often, unless preorderd, due to how expensive they are to buy at trade prices. Believe it or not, it is more cheaper for us to buy stock from online retailers than it is from trade suppliers. To top it off, the price of brand new retail games drops within a couple of weeks, the majority of the time, so werre stuck with stock we've paid full whack for so there is no incentive for us to pay full price on release. If a game can drop around 50% from RRP within a few weeks, why don't they charge less for it to begin with?
We deal with used games as well as new releases if they are big titles and the majority trade in their used games towards new titles so I can't see why they hate the second hand market so much, they still get their money on release day.

They could still charge a fee to unlock a second hand copy, with that and the price you paid for the used game, it could bring it up to the price of a brand new one, effectively killing the used game market. They want the second hand game market gone but had to backtrack on their announcement of locking out second hand games after seeing the uproar it created. They seem to have convinced some people but I'm quite confident they will screw it over in some way.

Doing this hurts sales even more. I usually buy new games when they are released and trade them in once completed for more new games so I'm always buying new games because of the second hand market. If I could no longer trade in my games, I will no longer purchase new games due to no money back trading in so there won't really be a point in owning the machine either so they'll lose me a customer in the long run. It'll also force legitimate people to think about turning to piracy to play their games so they lose even more!
If Sony and Microsoft do go this route, Sony have have supposed to have said they will allow used games to run but haven't stated if there will be an activation charge for doing so, then I'll just stick to the Wii U for a console and go back to being a PC gamer. Recently played Crysis 3 on the PC and it is so much graphically batter than the console versions, even the PS4 demos we've seen. It's about time the PC had games that utilizes it's power and not just shove crappy console ports on them.

What I'm saying is, even since the PS3 is the more powerful console, on paper, I don't feel the need to play it. I'd rather play the 360 or Wii U, the Wii has had more use than my PS3. I won't be dropping money to Sony this time until I see a real good reason to own one, and since they are getting rid of the second hand game market, they can swivvel for my money as if that's true, they'll never get me as a customer.

My last car was a Ford Probe, added standard mods i.e 18"s, lowered, Powerflow exhaust

Beautiful sounding exhaust but no videos unfortunately
Now moved on to a Toyota Celica

Not long got this so I haven't started modding yet so no videos of exhaust as it's stock. Sounds nice but no comparison to my old Powerflow.

That's the beauty of it, it's free and unique to the Wii U. It's not an essential piece of software but it is a nice feature and can be some fun for a while. As you said, I'll enjoy it occasionally as it's not a deal breaker but it's a nice addition. My mate was in awe with it when I showed him last night. He's never seen google maps so this was all new to him and he was simply amazedI miss the days when people used their imaginations to do such things. Oh well, it is free after all and I'm sure people like yourself will enjoy using it occasionally.

I think you're missing the point of it Dude. I was walking down a street in Japan earlier, checking out the shops there, even walking down an outdoor market, all from the comfort of my sofa and without the expensive flight to get there. Obviously not as good as the real thing but I personally think it's quite impressive.Like I said, pointless.

Just downloaded it, I'm sure I heard it mentioned that it was released in the US so just took it as US onlyI guess you haven't actually looked on the e-shop then as it was released in the UK the same time as the US. I'm in the UK and downloaded it on my Wii U.
I quite enjoyed walking around the streets of Japan, it's definitely easier to use against Google maps but it is easier on Google maps to pinpoint a location than on the gamepad. Definitely a nice piece of software.
