I hope you are enjoying your day.
That's just a nice way to say "old"
That wasn't my intention, but that isn't a bad thing!
Take care.

I was thinking the same thing about the item found in each dungeon not being the right weapon to defeat that dungeons boss. On another note, Im so pumped for Wind Waker!!! That's the only console Zelda that I have not completed so once it comes out I can finally check that off my list.
A few of my thoughts for the next Zelda.
It'd be cool if they made it so that dungeons weren't actually apparent, rather the world itself became like a really massive dungeon. You'd cruise through an area, not realising that either now or perhaps later, you just walked over the battleground of a future boss site, with no real hint that it would be. At the same time, areas would definitely be distinct enough for the player to understand where to go.
Basically put, when you enter a dungeon's doors, you don't get a black screen fade out and then it fades in with the dungeon name in massive letters in the centre of the screen. I mostly want this more so to be a clear testament of the Wii U's power, and how much power the name of the hardware's creators are able to push their own games.
I also want to see how they address Link himself, if we do play as the Hero of Time. Well, all the wishing fan story in my brain aside, I want them to make Link feel more natural in the game. For story plot, he can show more distinct emotion to events scripting before him. Gameplay wise, they could make it so he moves more naturally; a short walk before a full run, a moment of slowing down before a complete halt, stuff like that (not to the point where it's detrimental, but noticable). I also wouldn't mind run through type gameplay, where he can sword kill on the fly, because if my first idea is to be believed, there's gonna be a lot of environment, and as a player, I won't stop for ennething.
I also wouldn't mind it if the enemy isn't known to begin with. Make for a real plot twist when you realise someone that you've been close to in the game is Ganondorf (or whatever villain they have in mind). That's more or less just my thirst for a decent plot twist in the series (which I haven't really experienced). Heck, even if Zelda was like "No Link, piss off! I'm saving the world!" I'd love for that to happen.
Lastly, and this is probably my biggest gripe of the series as a whole. The items. I like that they have a lot of varied items. I hate how some of them get like 3 uses in the whole game (the Spinner in TP comes to mind). If you're gonna make an item, make it so there's a lot of nice places you can use it.

That was the one that got me too. And the new "X" video, too.
I also liked the lineup of $0.30 virtual console games.... Balloon Fight wasone of the first games i owned on my NES!!! Not one of the ones i was looking forward to the most, but what a nice way to start a VC library and introduce my kids to games i plaed when I was their age!
Yeah that Monolith Soft game looks epic!!! I have Ballon Fight on my 3ds but have yet to try it out. I'll probably just redownload it on the Wii U anyway since it is only $0.30. I'm glad they have gamepad support for the Virtual Console that was a welcome addition.

thanks maybe we could write it on MiiVerse somehow to let them know. I know that's what I will be doing to ask Nintendo to buy the Darksider's IP!!!

Lol its all good mate it doesn't bother me. After last night's announcements this place seems more active which can only be a good thing.
This Nintendo Direct was better than their E3 2012; just sums up my reaction. The games are really showcasing what the system can really do (I love how they made their hybrid CPU play nice with AMD's e6760 to get those visuals). I'm really excited over the future of the console!

I remember reading somewhere that the Wii U Zelda game won't be as linear as past games, so that's something to look forward to. But, I really want HD Wind Waker more than the new Zelda title at this point.
Just because it'll be "rethinking the conventions of Zelda" doesn't mean it'll become level based. The suggestions Mr. Aonuma gave - completing dungeons in a specific order, playing alone (keep in mind these are the 'conventions' being changed!) - actually suggest an even more open gameplay style.

Hello there.
It was an okay Nintendo Direct. I thourght that it was boring in most parts. I found when they talked about the Miiverse boring and when they were talking about upcoming games. Most of them didn't have any footage.
Sincerly,
NintyFan.
I agree.

Pretty sure its just the same virtual (3D) surround that the 3DS uses.
No idea how well it works for headphones but it definitely seems to help give the illusion of sound coming from all around the GamePad rather than just where the speakers are.
It was my understanding though that the GamePad only outputs the Wii U main audio when you are playing a game on the GamePad only. When you are playing on the TV I expected the headphones port to only be used for voice chat. Is that true?

Hello UnchainedGoku,I HATE gloss, love the Wii U, hate the finger prints, seriously shiny is becoming so uncool, what is it with companies and shiny products
I think the Wii U would have been so much cooler with a matte finish.

Hello Goose,Nintendo only needs to allow audio to enter from the USB ports since Audio can already exit them. As for the triggers... I personally don't like racing games at all so I'd rather have them this way... but I with they were like the Gamecube's godly triggers..

Interesting, so the Wii U is capable of TRUE surround sound and not just virtual surround sound? I think I might do what you said and just wait things out because purchasing a receiver and a headset would be expensive. Basically, it all comes down to wanting either true surround sound (my first preference) or virtual surround sound for the Nintendo Wii U through a headset. How this would be possible, well, maybe there are multiple setups, I am not sure. Thank you for your post hubang!Assuming you mean true surround from a headset on the Wii U, it is possible, just not really easy nor affordable to most at this point. You'd need a device that can split the HDMI into 6 analog sound channels; this usually involves a converter or a mid-range to high-end AV receiver. You'd then need a surround headset with analog multichannel inputs, such as the Tritton AX Pro.
Everyone seems to be rushing for an immediate solution, but I'd suggest waiting it out for a bit to see new solutions pop up via USB (perhaps a USB Dolby Digital decoder with optical out if someone decides to test one) or when manufacturers decide to move forward with Wii U-specific headsets.
