Well they way you typed made it sound like it was just gay people who do this.

#219663 Are you perfectly fine with homosexuals?

Posted by caryrae73 on 11 June 2013 - 11:18 AM in The Café

I'm completely fine with homosexuals, you love who you love. But what I DON'T like is when they act that they should be treated better than others because of that. "I'm gay, which means I am automatically better than you". It really irks me.

There are plenty of straight people who think they are better than everyone.

Not sure if this is inappropriate or not since they really don't use bad language.

#210772 No Hate - But People Are Taking Another Look @ Wii U

Posted by caryrae73 on 24 May 2013 - 04:04 AM in Wii U Games and Software

They do need to advertise the Wii U more so people understand what it is. Just yesterday I was talking with my Dad and he thought the Wii U was just a handheld and not a console.

#210551 Lego City Saved Game. Please help!

How do you know it's a Dad? :P It could be a Mom.

Guess that means no more renting games from gamefly or redbox or buying used games. With different places charging different prices for games who's price do they use as the retail price they would charge to activate the game?

#209773 Xbox 720 Official Reveal Thread

Posted by caryrae73 on 21 May 2013 - 04:50 PM in General Gaming

I would hope this is not true.

From technobuffalo:

After the Xbox One was unveiled, news hit that each game would be tied to your user account when you purchase it. You can only play it on your Xbox One…

…unless you pay some sort of fee. Want to bring the game to a friend’s house and play it on their Xbox One? There will be a fee. Want to buy a used Xbox One game and play it on your home system? There will be a fee.

We now know the full extent of that fee, thanks to an interview between Kotaku and Microsoft Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison. The fee for buying used games or borrowing one from a friend? The full cost of the game.

If it’s $59.99 at retail for the game, you’ll pay $59.99 in order to activate it. That’s on top of whatever you paid the seller of the game.

Harrison points to a solution, though. Microsoft will offer some sort of trade program for users who want to ditch their old games for new ones. What that means and how it works remains to be seen.

Am I the only one really bummed out by this decision? I save a lot of money buying my games used. What about when the Xbox One is 20 years old and we’re trying to buy games on the secondhand market? Will we even be able to activate them then?

From the Xbox one FAQ:

Q:    Will Xbox One allow players to trade in, purchase and play pre-owned games?
A:    We are designing Xbox One to enable customers to trade in and resell games. We’ll have more details to share later.

#209510 Xbox 720 Official Reveal Thread

Posted by caryrae73 on 21 May 2013 - 10:23 AM in General Gaming

From Engadget:

Processor and graphics: as rumored, a heavily customized AMD chip that combines an eight-core CPU, a GPU tailored for DirectX 11.1 graphics and 32MB of high bandwidth embedded ESRAM memory. The 28nm chip will consume around 100 watts, which is slightly higher than current Xbox Slim and PS3, but Microsoft promises noise from the cooling fans will be "four times quieter."

System memory: a Sony-rivaling 8GB of RAM, although it'll be DDR3 instead of the PlayStation 4's GDDR5.

Audio and video: 1080p and 4K both supported; 7.1 surround sound.

Kinect: This will be bundled with the console and contain 250,000-pixel infrared depth sensor as well as a regular 720p web cam.

Storage and media: a 500GB hard drive of unknown speed plus a Blu-ray / DVD combo drive that will be used as little as possible. We're told disc-based games will be ripped to the HDD automatically.

Connectivity: HDMI 1.4 output and passthrough; a "few" USB 3.0 ports; gigabit Ethernet; plus, three separate 802.11n radios to allow the console to communicate with its controller (over a form of WiFi Direct) as well as other devices (such as perhaps other Windows-based phones and tablets) without losing its connection to the internet. At other times, two radios could be used to maintain a stronger WiFi signal.

If the spec you're looking for isn't on this list, that's likely because Microsoft hasn't revealed it yet. We've requested further details and will update as and when we hear more.

I'm personally excited for it. I just wish they showed us more of the exclusives they mentioned. Also, I'm not surprised no one on here liked the conference. This site IS filled with a bunch of Anti Microsoft people.

Can't get too excited yet, have to see the price first but I liked it.

What a freaking terrible name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a strange name when it's the 3rd Xbox. I am guessing it's called that because they think it's the one device you need.

#204484 Lego City: Undercover

Posted by caryrae73 on 06 May 2013 - 01:50 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I found out I need to find all the Mario Stars and ? blocks for the last 2 characters I need. This may take a while I know I have found some. Guess I will need to look everywhere to find the rest. This has been an excellent game.

#204464 Lego City: Undercover

Posted by caryrae73 on 06 May 2013 - 12:42 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I am so close, I am at 99.8% and only need 2 of those character tokens but I am having the hardest time figuring out where they are. I have clicked on all the sections on the map and they all show I have everything and also clicked on all the missions and they show I got everything. I just don't understand what I am missing.

Do you get a character if you find all the Mario Stars?

#203783 Wii U impressions from older gamers?

Posted by caryrae73 on 04 May 2013 - 05:38 AM in Wii U Hardware

I will be 40 next month and have been enjoying the Wii U. Right now Lego City has been my favorite (almost finished at like 97% complete) but also play Super Mario, COD, and Sonic Racing. I love the Zelda games and can't wait for one for the Wii U. I also like to play the Tiger Woods golf games and think if they make one it could make good use of the Gamepad. I really like the Gamepad and have played games on it when my wife is watching one of her shows. Now if the Wii U would have been able to play Blu-Ray movies my PS3 would not be used. I had the Wii which I sold to help pay for part of the Wii U and it was nice I could still use the Wii-motes and didn't have to buy new controllers.
