But with that said I will get back to the topic at hand, I claim that I am a casual hardcore gamer, because I love games of all sorts. I don't consider myself hardcore for two reasons, 1) I don't generally spend a ton of time gaming as I have other interests and responsibilities, and 2) I am not the best gamer, I love gaming but that does not make me a great player. So the games I do play I don't aim for record scores or time breaking records. I just play it for e un and really take in the game and enjoy all it has to offer as such I tend to be very thorough aka slow. For instance ZombiU best game I have played in a long time I am currently on last level and at about 85 survivors. But each if their lives brought some joy into mine, so I just keep plugging away.
As for games being hardcore or casual, I think it is really how you play them that truly defines the category. For instance Call of Duty games, I personally prefer offline play because I like to play at my own pace and not have children or adults acting like children spouting off all kinds of filth because they have no accountability to the other people they are playing with. And even outside of language you getting people going around and shooting their teammates just for the heck of it, which can be fun but again it comes down to how your playing. As for games like Mario a lot of the levels and obstacles can be pretty difficult but usually you can bypass these difficulties if you choose, so again how you play is what decides hardcore or casual. And most games can be picked up and played by a 5 year old who will figure it out to some extent pretty quickly, but they will not be getting the same thing from the gameplay as someone playing through with more understanding.
So it's not the bright colors, the happy music, the cartoon characters, the blood, the violence, and ect. It all comes down to how the game is played.

- Earthbound U announcement along with US release of all Mother, Mother 2 (Earthbound), and Mother 3 on the Wii U and 3DS eShop with US translations.
- Star Fox Adventures U
- Animal Crossing U with integration between Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS so that we can go from one game to the other and keep progressing our towns on both but with some Wii U only enhancements.
- GameCube eShop announcement with Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine and Star Fox Adventures as the launch titles. While I would love to see these get HD treatment like Wind Waker, I would just love to have them on the Wii U with option to play on Gamepad only.

I enjoy the flying sections. Flight practically makes all the turns into straights, so it's going to become a punish to setups that don't push speed. On Hard Mode, the limiter path disappears, so you can cut tight around some corners. Utilising Air Drifts, available boosts and risk boosts is key to air racing. I think I hate water racing more, especially on Race of Ages.
Yeah, I think I could get used to it still have quite a few plays left on the demo which I will keep at it and see how it goes, I really like the water races it reminds me of Wave Race on the GameCube.

Most importantly, though, it would have the latest updates for the Wii U baked in, that way you wouldn't have to download them.
Well I just got the new ZombiU deluxe bundle in the US and they had already done this as they big update everyone had to do on launch was already on there. Which made it nice and easy on initial setup. I would imagine this will be a given whenever they release a new bundle/sku as for HDD I doubt it will make much difference on sales as those that want/need more space will probably be okay with putting more money into an external drive and atleast it is not proprietary based expansion I still can't believe I paid $100 for my Vita memory card. But I think it is smart to keep costs down by not making everyone pay for built in storage.

I thought until Sony threw backwards comparability (Digital and disc based) out the window on the PS4.

Some of the third party launch games are retail only as well. I'd have already bought BLOPS2 if it was available.
That's too bad I really thought all the Wii U games were going to be available as download from the eShop. Will have to explore it tomorrow, when my Wii U gets here. I am hoping to get NSMBU and Arkham City from eShop hopefully it's available.

But this story definitley sheds some light on the comment made during EA's investor call on January 13th where they stated "What we're describing as gen four has yet to come." Referring that the Wii U is not next gen. So apparently EA's policy is on par with the kiddies in grade school if you won't play it my way I will mock you and call you names.
Well luckily not everyone is of that adolescent mentality and Nintendo will pull the Wii U together as they continue to thrive as they have always done.

For instance the Wii Fit U is suppose to bundled with a pedometer and I would assume a balance board, and Infinity and Skylands require their portals and additional figurines which it seems standard of 3 being included with the games.
So being that all Wii U releases are suppose to available digitally (please correct me if I am wrong) what kind of purchase options will be made available? Has anyone heard? Also there is one Skylnders game out anyone know how it was sold? Cold you buy the portal seperate if so did it still include the three figurines? I have yet to get my Wii U (Hopefully Monday or Tuesday!) so I have not bee on Wii U eShop was Skylanders on there?
Personally I have held off on Skylanders as it is a money trap (though a very intriguing one) but the Disney fan inside me probably will pull me right into the Infinity money pit. And I am definitley going to getting Wii Fit U, but would prefer these through eShop purchase plus I like many people already have a balance board. Wii Fit U especially would be convent as a digital version so you could have quick and easy access to it at anytime. And am hoping to get to of the pedometers one for me and my wife so we can compete daily to push each other.
So if anyone has any info or speculation please share, I really think they need to handle these type of situations well to push digital adoption.

Well I was surprised nobody mentioned Earthbound (aka Mother), I know it is not likely but how great would it be to finally bring this great game back to life? And with the Earthbound release on Japan VC, makes me hope they are working on something. I would not be surprised to finally see Earthbound on US VC along with announcement of new game, but while I say I would not be surprised, I would be overcome with joy as the first and only US game is by far the best gaming experience I have ever had. And with the Wii U a revival could be spectacular, I can't wait to use my Controlpad as camera with the touchscreen as the viewfinder to document my next journey with Ness.
But if it's not Earthbound then I would hope for a new Starfox Adventure game, loved the Gamecube adventure game.

I don't foresee a price cut but I would bet before long Nintendoland will be added to the basic bundle, and they will continue to offer the Deluxe bundle with nintendoland and another title like the Zombiu bundle. And if you did not see my post I just ordered a Zombiu Deluxe Bundle on sale for only $350.99 (US) shipped. Check it out here: http://thewiiu.com/t...e-at-neweggcom/

For me personally watching the PS4 event, helped me decide to get the Wii U I currently have all 3 home consoles and after watching PS4 event I decided my PS3 still has plenty of life in it as PS4 did not offer anything new or must have features to me. And the lack of support for PS3 and PSN games and all the PS1 and PS2 games I have re-bought on the PSN, was a bit of a turn off. I know I will likely eventually upgrade the PS# or 360 to the next gen offering but for now PS4 has no real pull for me. The Wii U on the other hand has new gameplay and as silly as the Miiverse seems I am looking forward to jumping and joining the community. Still looking forward to the Xbox event to see what they are going to offer but am more excited about the arival of the Wii U Zombiu Bundle I just ordered online, and I think it will keep me content for a good while, really looking forward to the Lego City game, I hope they advertise it well as I have become more and more excited for the more I hear about it, if they play it right I think it could be a big win for the Wii U!

I voted Better/More Advertising as I think this will increase system sales and in turn bring in more 3rd party support and in turn provide more games! I bet we will see a bigger marketing campaign this holiday season but really think it would help to start it up sooner than later.

Personally I would love to see more third party support, and if more power would bring them in great, but I think Nintendo will make great 1st party games, regardless and unfortunately with each system having their own exclusives their will always be need (desire) for other machines and I think Nintendo will always have a place in most homes even if they go Xbox or Playstation, and a big part of what makes this feasible is the lower overall cost when compared to the big dog machines. Sure Nintendo's price point seems hight right now sitting on the shelf next to last generation consoles bundled up with multiple game titles to keep them moving. But come November/December when it is sitting next to PS4 and Xbox 720 with prices between $450-$600 it is going to be moving a lot more systems. Plus the head stat means hopefully by this holiday it will have a great selection of games to go with it while the others will just be starting out with their launch titles. Nintendo is going to just fine with the Wii U sue sales are slow but not really compared to earlier launches of previous consoles.
