Great seeing all these Posts. Some basic, some in depth.
As Nintendo fans, we appreciate what Nintendo try and do.
This is why I asked WHY DID U BUY A WII U.

This topic is why did you buy the wii u.
The reason I'm saying this is that I would like to talk about why I bought my wiiu.
I have bought a lot of Nintendo products over the years. But this time I didn't get this 1 at launch.
My reason was that the price they put it at. Did not think it was worth the money.
I got mine as a late birthday present and if it wasnt for eurogamer, Saying about hmv and £199 premium I wouldn't of got it, I no I said it was a late bday present, so it cost me nothing, but I wouldn't let anyone pay £349 for me.
Now that I have 1 with 2 games Zombiu and super mario. I am content to wait for the games to come out this xmas and the next.
As I also have an xbox and will prob wait till the xmas after to get 1 of the 2 next gen xbox/ps4.
So when these come out all of the new Nintendo games will start to come out and ill be buying them. So the main reason was it was an investment patiently waiting for all the Nintendo goodness to come my way as other people dip into the next gen consoles, then realising that there is no big game for about 1-2 years. Also this gen consoles have been very powerful unlike xbox/ps2. So there will not be much of a difference at the begining.
So why did you buy Yours???

Oh and A side note I will not be buying Rayman legends, awesome game as it is.
Ubisoft will learn the hard way. Hitting them in the pocket and not in mine.

I'm not a fanboy, so that puts me in a great situation to buy whatever console I want.
The now I have a wiiu and xbox.
You are right, I would never trade my Nintendo for a xbox/playstation. But I would think about trading the others. THE reason being is so many games for these two are mainly 3rd party so the consoles are identical. It's the 1st party games u really need to look at. The now Nintendo have sewing the first party part. Just keep doing new and old 1st party games and you will have a loyal customer with me.

The best idea is too sell It cheaply, only for the xmas period. when the new xbox/ps4 consoles come out.
Extermly Limited offer £150 premium pack with zelda wind waker. Would get great media and take the thunder from the competition.

any ideas for nintendo for games that where in the past lads?

Hi guys, first post.

I am hoping that Nintendo are really looking at the wii u as I look at it. It doesn't need to be the most powerful console, I'm not into that. Just awesome Fun games. I've been a gamer for along time prob 25years. Anyway here the games that I think are system sellers and these are all gonna make the wii u gamepad an essential part.

Ask questions on how the game would be on the gamepad.

Retro style games
Monkey Island series hd maybe a monkey island 4 wiiu exclusive.
Minecraft
Zelda- a link to the past hd
Most Graphic adventure games.


3rd party games
Football manager
Sim city
Shenmue
Civilisation
Theme park sort of game.

These are some of the games I think will be left field from the the normal Nintendo catalog. With exceptions to zelda. Would love that game to be HD.

Also would like u input to games that wouldn't really be on the the system but think they would be a system seller and WHY!
