Personally, I love the gamepad. Obviously for the OffTv, which I use regularly but it's also my main browser. I barely use my PC anymore.

I might be able to convince one friend. He was gonna buy a PS4, but did say he was interested in the Wii U too. So far he hasn't bought the PS4 yet, so who knows.

Though not nearly as good as ac4, 3 just lowered its e shop price to 19.99$
I already have that game for PS3, and yeah, it wasn't that good. I still like 2 the best.

To be honest, on the PS3 I bought loads of third party titles. Usually 2 games each month. On the Wii U, I don't at all. For example, I really wanted Assassin's Creed IV (Fan of the series), but ever since I got a Wii U, that game and other third party titles are definitely the last ones on the list. I just find Nintendo exclusives more fun, and more worth my money. The only third party game I got for the Wii U is ZombiU, and that will be the only one for quite a while.
ETA: I want this console to prosper, but I also want games worth my money.

Ok, I just watched the video's of Unepic and Toki Tori 2 and those do look good (Only looked at the pictures before). I will likely get these soon, but other than that there just isn't much and I already own the Trine series on PS3. Thanks for the recommendations though.

I'm not sure if it's a region thing and others do have cool stuff, but here in the Netherlands there's basically nothing besides some virtual console games, and a couple of indie's. I want new games, not old ones. I get why people like vc but it's just not for me.

I love realistic graphics in open world nature games like Skyrim and Far Cry. That and LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted will be the only reasons I will sometimes miss a PS4. I might still pick one up eventually for those though, but not for atleast a year and a half.

Welcome! I grew up with SNES and N64 titles and even though my last consoles were the PS2/3, I have returned to Nintendo also. Couldn't have made a better decision, I just love the system!

I used to be heavily into FPS too. COD and Battlefield mainly. But it was becoming less and less fun as time went by and I haven't touched a FPS in almost 2 years now. I will miss the PS exclusives though, especially Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet series. But, I did get some amazing series in return for choosing the Wii U. I bet Zelda U alone will justify the Wii U purchase since LoZ is my all time favorite franchise. Not to mention all the other great exclusive games Nintendo has to offer. I'm a bit concerned about the future, but I will support this console all the way to the end.
