I've seen a trend of IGN bashing Nintendo with articles or interviews the last couple of days; but then dumping praise for Microsoft. What gives?

NHL 14 made me a fan of the game. 

I like the way your mind works my friend, I got a friend to buy a Wii U, he also ended up buying a 2ds with pokemon x as well.

Let's start a campaign amongst ALL Wii U owners to aim and persuade just ONE person they know (or don't!) to buy a Wii U.

The gamer hasn't really changed over the years, Nintendo still makes fun games with exceptional visuals.  The PS4 will rebound, no doubt.  The Wii U on the other hand has to continue to fight an uphill battle, and that is better for us consumers, meaning Nintendo has to make top quality games with each release just to compete.    

I want to play Hockey on the Wii U.  Sonic and Mario at the Sochi Olympics isn't quenching my thirst.

You could play the new Fire Emblem game, that came out last year. It's for the 3DS tho. 

Thanks for the suggestion, that FE title has an exceptional rating on Metacritic. Now if I can only save up for a 3DS/2DS or get someone to let me borrow theirs.

I'm thinking short term, like what would help them this summer and that is to re release Super Mario 64 DS on the Wii U virtual Console.  4 playable characters, same great gaming experience as the original, and maybe do the whole ghost Mii feature that 3d world has. 

But releasing new games will help more than anything, and maybe a bundle with the gamepad and Wii U pro controller. Also releasing titles that show off what this sucker is truly capable of could'nt hurt. 

I really liked Vandal Hearts one and two for the PS1; I mean to the point where I completed them it with all prisms, 100%, and secret endings.  The first Vandal Hearts forever spoiled the strategy RPG genre for me; to the point where I measure all subsequent strategy RPGs to it.  I have played Final Fantasy Tactics, Shining Force series, Onimusha Tactics, and several others, but never have I played a Fire Emblem game.  Has anyone ever played a Fire Emblem title, if so which one would you recommend if any? 

I have a friend who purchased both a Sony PS4 and an XBOX One system a week apart on their release dates, he then invited me over at one in the morning to play them when he got his XBOX.  I was very impressed with the PS4's design and graphical output, but was confused over the large size of the XBOX One and ridiculously long registration process just to play the first game.   I waited two months then purchased a Wii U and invited this same friend to play Super Mario 3D World, needless to say the following afternoon he purchased a Wii U and 2DS, sick.

Just wanted to say hello to all the video game fans out here, glad to be apart of the Wii U forums. 

      I own a gaming PC and bought Call of Duty Ghosts for it back in December, I adjusted the graphics to the maximum on my Radeon XFX card and I thought to myself, "Man, I spent $1400 on a this rig and although this game does look better on my PC than on PS4 and XBOX One, but, by my standards it still looked like crud."  Then I saw what the supposed weaker Wii U could do, and let me tell you friends, Super Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3 are graphically superior than most new games. Wow.  Few developers can do what Nintendo has done with the Wii U, and it is absurd that 3rd party developers are not making games on this plucky contender.  The Wii U is quality, Nintendo needs to release more games from the 8 bit and 16 bit era on the Virtual Console and keep releasing games that show off the graphics of the Wii U.  I bought a Wii U January 28 of this year after I saw the graphics and game play of Super Mario 3D World, a definite system seller.  Go Nintendo!
