Hello,
Im Epic Kirby or choochoo or Louis depending on how you look at it.
What can I say about myself...hmm... well as you can tell from the name im a big fan of Kirby and currently write a blog about him and other Nintendo stuff. I quite like RPGs as well, FF10 being my favourite.
That's about it.

With the upcoming Nintendo handheld being 3D what are the chances of the next home console being 3D. Iwata said that they made the 3DS 3D because it comes with its own screen so you don't need those expensive 3D TVs.
Does this mean no 3D for Wii 2?

Thanks, for the welcome! Yeah that's how I got to know about your forums because I saw Wii 2 Blog on twitter in suggestions and I thought I recognised your name from somewhere...3ds forums I think.

Probably yes. 3D TV's are still too niche a market for Nintendo to go after it. I think the Wii 2 will be powerful enough to handle 3D smoothly, but Nintendo will enable the functionality through a software update when they think it's worth advertising it.
Here's an article that even shows they officially said they won't do it (I know the article's in German; but I can read it, trust me).
On the other hand, here's some proof that says they will.

That is confusing, I was going to say that maybe it will be contingent on whether people start to buy 3D TVs in the next year but I forgot that they have to start planning this thing now. I also think it will depend alot on how the 3DS does. I mean if people buy the 3DS and hate the 3D effect (I doubt it) its unlikely that the Wii will be 3D.
Looking at you links, though, it seems Iwata is for 3D BUT he has to get it on a mass scale. How he will do that without supplying us with 3D TVs.

I know that there has been the release of the Zune and the Windows phone but is this as close to an XBOX 360 handheld that we are going to get.
The idea of portable versions of XBOX exclusives such as Halo are the ultimate fantasy of Microsoft fanboys.
With the tittering sales of the PSP and its epic fail the PSP Go maybe it is time for Microsoft to step up and see if they can be worthy opponents for handheld veterans Nintendo.
Would an XBOX 360 handheld survive in the market with the sales of Micro fans alone?

I guess it will depend, but im not sure if it will be backwards compatible with Gamecube games because the Wii 2 will have to backwards compatible with Wii games and that would be acceptable.
I think motion sensor gaming is the way forward now and we will have some sort of Wii controller but there will be something extra special. I think even though it will still be an option in play, standard button mashing controlled gaming is gone.

Suppose they do add 3d support. it will be curious if games will end up with lip service 3d like most movies or created top to bottom with 3d in mind.
Multi Platform games might end up having the 3d added on afterwards. I can't wait to see how those games look on the 3DS.
Um, no. I can't see that working in the marketplace; not at the global scale, anyway. I suppose individual retailers could offer bundles themselves, but Nintendo has better things to do than go strike deals with TV manufacturers (probably including Sony, which is speeding ahead with 3D technology) to bundle their system with their sets.3D TV/ Wii 2 bundle, anyone?
I just don't know how they would do it then... maybe 3D would be a safer option for Wii 3
. We will just have to wait and see how things go this year, in England, the last thing people will do this year is go out and buy 3D TVs will all the cuts and economic downturn, VAT rise, making 3D TVs more expensive when they should be made cheaper.

It keeps changing for me, I guess for Wii it would have to be Epic Mickey, DS Golden Sun/Dragon Quest IX and for PS3 Fallout New Vegas. Wii favourite probably would have been Epic Yarn but it hasn't come out in UK yet so it can't count for 2010.

I've only played the Wii and PS3 versions and the PS3 one looked better than Wii (obviously) but as for whether its better than 360 visuals I'm not sure. Sometimes its hard to tell between the PS3 graphics and 360 graphics.
Some people said that FFXIII looked better on 360 but I couldn't tell myself, so I'm not a good judge of such things :-)

My brother is a sony fanboy and I often tease him about the Wii's massive worldwide sales but he often brings up how Nintendo 'sold out' to the casual markets when they brought out the Wii and the way they market the DS.
We do get a lot of hardcore 1st party titles from our best franchises, Zelda, Mario, Metroid and Kirby of course . But we do get a lot of shovelware titles and casual market titles, brain training, brain academy, Wii sports, cooking mama, face training, style boutique, Peppa pig (the list goes on). You would never see Peppa Pig on 360
As much as I love Nintendo I did feel a teeny weeny little bit let down, sometimes seething in envy shaking my head to face training while PS3 and 360 fans play Fable, Halo, Mass Effect, FF, Bioshock. 360 and PS3 have less sales because they make games that their fans however small a number, would want to play instead of focusing on casual audiences.
Nintendo is trying to rectify this with the 3DS and now it seems PS3 and XBOX are jumping to the casual train to get more sales (Kinect and Move).
Doany Nintendo fans feel betrayed by this or do you just see it as Nintendo trying to reach more audiences, even if it stretches the allegience of their old audience?

Mine would have to be Inception and Toy Story 3. I loved the questions that Inception made you ask yourself and the concept of reality and what's real.

I have a weird feeling that they probably won't, because Nintendo never do the same things as other companies. When everyone was using normal size discs the Gamecube had those mini disc things. PSP had UMD discs and Nintendo was using cartridges still for the DS and the 3DS will have them.
If they need more space they will probably find their own way, if the rumours are true about the 8gb carts for the 3DS then I don't see how they could let there next home console have less gb than its little brother.

I remember somewhere that CEO Hirai said that they wanted the PS3 to have a ten year cycle which would make it end in 2016 since the PS3 came out in 2006. However, I don't know if that means the PS4 will take that long or if that's just how long they will keep the support for it, for example games are still being made for PS2 now.

From what I've heard, it's slightly better motion tracking, and much worse pointing. It would average out, but I've also heard that Move has to be re-synced really often... So WiiMote+ is slightly better than move (From what I've heard, I don't know anyone who is even slightly interested in move, so...)
It does :cry: it really does, it makes me cry when I have to re sync it every fripping second.

I got Reason 4, a collaboration from the famo, a Kirby sort of back pack thing (I don't know where my friend got the idea I would like that :shock: )and a whole heap of books.

I'm a bit newbie to this whole Anime/Manga thing, my friends have recommended me some such as Death Note, Naruto and Bleach. They were all good but I think I prefered Death Note .
