This might be a short review since its basically a remake instead of a new game.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is a remake of the undrerated Zelda game 11 years ago. This game is EXACTLY the same as the one 11 years ago with improvements, minor change in the soundtrack and enhansed lighting effects. These changes are extremely helpful and less annoying than the origional, The Swift Sale can make you sail more faster AND change the wind direction without having to use the Wind Waker to change the direction every single time. The only problem is that you don't get it right away, you have to complete the 2 dungeons and sail to Winddall auction house at night. You have to have 800 rupees to win all 4 auctions, your wallet in the beginning holds up to 500 rupees. For the team to make sure you get it early. Playing the songs are much faster than the origional, the gameplay is much better when aiming weapons, you aim with the right stick and love around in first person with the left stick, so you don't have to stand there and aim. And the use of the Tingle bottle, which makes you write, draw or show pictures to other adventurers on Miiverse. also the 'choose your dungeon' isn't there, if you try to leave to another island, the King of Red Lions stops you and orders you to go to the linear destination. So I guess its for the newer Zeldas instead. The annoying triforce mission is still annoying as ever except they reduced it to 3 triforce maps instead of 8, so you don't haveto grind for rupees for that greedy idiot Tingle to show you were the triforce piece is.

As for the whole game however, its the same Gamecube game on a Wii U console and enhanced lighting, the framerate Its exactly like the GC version on parts were the framerate suffers. Some of the glitches are there thanks to a speed runner on youtube who plays a whole lot of Wind Waker trying to speed run in different ways.

Its a very slow start if you never played it, but its so satisfying when you're done with the pearls. Exploring the world and earning upgrades is fun and rewarding, (much faster earnig upgrades than any other Zelda game) personally I think that its a lot shorter if you played it before, I have it for 2 days and I'm done with the Earth and Wind temple.

So my negatives are out of the way, let me tell you why its one of my favorites, the artstyle is very cartoony and never looses its cartoon theme, everything fits as a cartoon style Zelda, heck even Ganon with his child abuse still fits. You can use your enemy's weapons once they drop it. The way you take out an enemy fortress and take their treasure makes you feel like you're playing a great open world game sailing the seas. The thing that killed it for me back then with the GC version was the slow sailing and the triforce piece gathering, but they fixed it in this one. (But the triforce pices is still a load of bull)

So all & all, for $50 its still worth something, I can't say for the people who played it before and hated it but for newbies, go buy it, you won't be disappointed....Except for the triforce mission.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD gets an 8 out of 10.
