I bought a Wii-u yesterday, and I started the giant system update around 6pm..

After almost two hours it got an error code while downloading data for the update (maybe at 60 percent by then) So obviously we tried again. A few more error codes and hours later, it finally went to the actual download of the update. it easily climbs to 99%... then another error... After reading up on this, we moved the Wii right next to the router and tried again. I also tried the changing all the connestion settings manually thing.. After hours and hours of errors that never got past the data download part of the update, we gave up and played a game for a little while, then headed to bed and left the system on, updating while we slept.

Wake up now, and there's no update.. not sure what happened.. We're trying it again now.. but it's been about an hour and there's barely a dent in the data download..

I don't know what to do aside from calling nintendo. I've tried EVERY tip I could find on the internet and nothing worked..

be carefull u may brick ur system... Nintendo is horrible horrible what they do... they still sell consoles without this f#$#$#$#$# patch??

I would suggest u to turn it back and get another one.. tell them its problematic and it does not accept the patch or download it.

OP doesn't seem stupid enough to turn off their console while an update is installing.

Just keep at it.

I had similar problems the day I got mine.

I find the best way to get updates is to let the console do it all itself.

I've been very careful not to brick it.

It's been downloading since noon-ish, and the data download part is still only at maybe 80% (It's 6:20 now)

We've gotten two errors between then and now ( 108-0068 and 108-0075)

Nothing else in the house is accessing the internet aside from this computer.. I don't understand why this is so difficult .__.

Ok, now we just recieved error 105-4206

Hmmm I used to get error code 105 and think it has a similar fix to 108 http://howtofixstuff...r-code-105.html
