So what's your opinion about high capacity battery? Is it worth buying? Does it expand the gamepad's life a respectable amount of time or is it unnoticeable? Thank you for any answer in advance :)

Idk I'd probs just get a pro controller with 80 hours life, but if you love the GamePad that much then it's probs worth it.

Also, from what I've seen you can double the battery life using either that add-on one or the built in one. Using both triples the battery life.

As others said above, I just use the Pro controller for the vast majority of my gaming. It has a gigantic battery life.

And if you do prefer the gamepad, instead of spending a lot of money on another battery just keep an extension cord handy and plug the charger into the gamepad for those times when red light does come on. With an extension cord not having enough reach from a plug won't be an issue. This is what I did while playing Zombi U and other games that require the gamepad.

Maybe consider a new battery if having the charger plugged into the gamepad while playing really bothers you that much.

Yes its worth it. A few hours more wireless gameplay. It is expensive same as a game so make decision how much you want extra battery life. For me I got to have it. If your going to use the pro controller most of the time then don't buy it.

Right now I use the charge stand so its always fully charged.

Edit: I use the built in battery. I haven't tried uboost etc.

It was definitely worth it, I utilize it with battery extender too and it makes for a long amount of play time before I have to charge both.

EskobarM92:  Yes I have the nyko Uboost, I had that before the high capacity battery and it without a doubt gave me more playtime.  Its easy to install, and like I said I use both now and it gives me more then plenty play time.

I can't trust Nyko anything when it comes to rechargable batteries. My experience is they stop charging within a year and after a year won't hold a charge more than a few minutes.

I was thinking about buying a better battery for my Gamepad, but I decided to just get a Pro Controller in a couple weeks. If I wanna play in my friends room, before bed, or when I bring my Wii U to work I will use the Gamepad.

I can recommend Nyko. I have had a Vita charge grip for a year and soon a PS4 charge base.

Like with most batteries chargers you can get unlucky and get a bad one.

Even if it only lasted a year I would say its worth it if I use it a lot and its cheap to replace.

The only bad thing for me is the shipping and import tax from U.S. costs a lot so I hope mine last at least a year.

@Ecorsbie Nice I will look into the u boost charger. Anyone have the 4000mah battery is it much better battery life then the official one? It completely covers the inside of wii u gamepad.

well if they work for a year they are normal i'd say. The official xbox batteries I use I had to replace after 1-2 year since the battery life was just 6 hours compared to 18 when I got them.

I have had the same off brand rechargeable battery in my digital camera for 4 years and I use it daily. My DS lite using the same batt since 2006.

My cell phone is 4 years old and the batt still lasts days on one charge. I could name more but have a ton of stuff with rechargeable batteries. The nyko ones charged about 10 times then just stopped.

the high capacity battery sold by nintendo to replace the stock one in the gamepad is great. It does add a tiny bit of extra weight but after a few minutes you are adjusted. It easily adds another 2-4 hours. It should give you around 8 hours or so total depending upon your usage.

Just saying my experience after purchasing several has been total garbage so to me form personal experience they make a terrible product. You don't need to get super defensive about it. Just a friggin battery not foreign policy lol
