Posted ImageWith the Wii U GamePad, more features have been added to many games, sometimes adding new features and other times just to add portability to a game. However Ubisoft is currently deciding on what to do with the GamePad for Watch Dogs. One thing they do know is that they want Watch Dogs to be a social game, connecting friends and other players in the game. Senior producer Dominic Guay said in an interview with Digital Spy:

So the connectivity between players with mobile devices, the way you can control the city, the immersion, all those are core and on any platforms we’re going to ship on we’re going to make sure we nail those pillars down.

As for the GamePad and its use in the Wii U version of the game, Guay had this to say:

We’re still investigating how we’ll use the tablet on the Wii U, but with the things I mentioned before, for us it’s not going to be a weird stretch. It’s natural. What’s really cool with Watch Dogs, when we start thinking of those devices, it’s not a weird abstraction, it’s not like I’m a space alien and now I’m using a tablet. Why am I doing that? Aiden Pearce is using a device to control the city, so it’s quite easy to imagine what we could do with that.

It’s certainly possible to see how Ubisoft could connect the GamePad with various devices by Aiden Pearce in-game, but it’s equally as possible they could just use the GamePad to make the game pseudo-portable. How would you like to see the GamePad used in the game?
