I don’t think it’s been announced, but it sounds like FIFA is coming to the Wii U. I guess that was obvious though, as FIFA comes to everything. But anyway, David Rutter, the producer of the FIFA games has said that he has “a few ideas about how Wii U will benefit FIFA.” He also explained that:
It’s certainly an exciting opportunity as far as hardware is concerned. It’s a pretty cool piece of kit. I’m looking forward to getting involved with it in some way, shape or form.
He’s light on the details though, not willing to share any specific ideas:
I’m going to keep them under my hat, just because it would be foolhardy of me to suddenly start spouting a load of ideas for something that doesn’t necessarily exist yet. I don’t want to give everybody an idea of what we might be up to.
I think any sports game is going to be a perfect match for the Wii U, or any game that is improved when you have a birds-eye view of what’s going on.
