It was revealed by Capcom on the first day of PAX East that DakeTales Remastered, developed by WayForward Technologies, would be coming to the Wii U eShop, as well as the Playstation Network and XBox Live Arcade, this Summer. The game will cost $15 on the Wii U eShop.
All character sprites are hand-drawn while the world around you is in 3D. In addition, Disney voice actors have joined development as well. The songs in the original game have been remastered as well.
In regards to the game, Capcom’s Rey Jimenez had this to say:
We’re literally pouring our heart and soul into this title. It’s going to play just like you remember.
