Can't wait for the update. I hope it fixes some of the freezing problems as a bonus, although I doubt it.

Spoiler
Did you enjoy the ingame reference regarding the progress bar in Lego City Undercover? I busted out laughing. It was a great poking fun at themselves in a sense.
And regarding the loading times with the coming update, GREAT JOB Nintendo. The experience will only get better as time goes on and the system because mature.

I wasn't sure if it was a reference or not, but I did get a laugh out of it. xD
I'm enjoying the game pretty well so far. I just hope this update decreases the load time.

This is something Nintendo could continue to optimize over the following years. Nintendo just needs to make it respectable, right now entering Miiverse can take way to long at times. They have 1GB of ram dedicated to the OS, it should be very fast.

I'm sure there is a lot that takes place here. Mine I believe is as fast as after already because I have everything copied to external ssd
I have everything copied into my external and it's still extremely slow. Has nothing to do with that. You're just lucky.

It probably has to do a LOT with it, he has an SSD, and those are WAY faster than HDDs

Theoretical speeds of flash over mechanical really doesn't come into it when the bus speed of USB is about 5MB/s
Besides, the console itself has an ssd-like drive on a main system bus, if that's still a problem I dunno if anything but magic can fix the speeds.
I hope they add folders with this update. Such a simple feature that makes my 3ds so much cleaner.

I'm glad Nintendo actually listens to their consumers. Coming from a guy that has been a primarily Xbox 360 gamer for the past 4 years, this isn't something I'm used to.
Big N for the win. (lol, dem rhymez)
Edit: ERMAHGERD I'M A SPIKED GOOMBA NAO. Time to break out the booze.

Out of interest I timed my Wii U. I loaded up mario and pressed home etc just like in the video. My time was almost identical.
As an extra test I played FIFA 13 on my 360 and brought up the menu and returned to the dash. Total time? 12.6 seconds (I started timing at the equivalent time, after the last button press). I know its only a one off comparison but 4ish seconds slower than the new Wii U OS in the video! Im never bothered about waiting on my xbox so this update looks great to me, with improvements to come too.
Wii U - jetmanuk
Xbox360 - jetman uk
PS3 - Sold it, so no point putting here is there?!
