super smash bros 4  on wii u and 3ds will require both of them to finish 100%  to get all unlockables,

 

Super Smash Bros. Wii U / 3DS is an upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It is being developed by Namco Bandai Games, and directed by series creator Masahiro Sakurai. The game was announced at E3 2011 by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. During the presentation he confirmed that both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will feature some sort of cross-platfrom connectivity.

Cross platform connectivity =/= requiring both versions to complete.  You are going extremely far out on that limb.

I sincerely hope not especially since they most likely wont have a cross-buy like feature.

 and here is where the kicker comes in....

Nintendo will release Smash for the 3DS either very late this year or early next year, while the Wii-u version very well will release late next year or early the following year.

 

This method will get people to buy both, because their is seriously no way they plan on releasing both games at or around the same time.

It's not like the vita where the console version is almost identical to the handheld, wii-u smash and 3ds smash are going to be 2 different games, so why release 2 marque games at the same time?

i say they will release super smash bros wii u and 3ds at the same time, because monster hunter 3  Ultimate on  wii u and 3ds were both release at the same time, scribblenauts unlimited on  wii u and 3ds will be both release at the same time

I wouldn't believe everything you read. Unless its officially stated or at least comes from a reputable source then maybe. You keep harping on about the need to play both versions of the game to get 100% but I doubt that will be the case.

I believe the 3DS version will be released sometime during the Winter period. I think Sakurai wants to focus more on the console aspect of the game so he can try and get the complaints from Brawl's issues out of the way in a more coherent fashion, so I'm guessing the WiiU version won't be until around next Spring or so.

The problem with what you're saying is that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a 3DS port, so it was easy to release both at the same time, because they are identical. Scribblenauts Unlimited is also the same game on Wii U and 3DS. The Wii U version is SSB most likely won't be a 3DS port. They'll be totally different games that "connect" somehow. I expect the 3DS one to release first.

Actually, despite all the nonsense he's currently posting, I agree with Smertrius on this one.  I'm predicting they will release the two games within a month of each other, if not at the same time. And that it will be in the spring of 2014

Damn don't overhype me like that! But yea as said above, probably simply a marketing label. I expect it to come out sooner than expected. They announced that game  too early, so they would probably want to finish it earlier. Sakurai even hurt himself making the game!

It'll be cool if there were some exclusivity differences between the two versions. Like with the Wii U version you get Shulk from Xenoblade and with the 3DS version you get Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening.
