I plan to get this game. I red many reviews. Is this game like GTA style? What happen when you die in the game? Does it has like status of the game showing how many time you die?

It is alot like GTA without the mature content, its weird but i never died in a Lego game before so i can't really say, and i don't think it keeps track of your deaths since its a kids game after all, if you want that then play Dark Souls. It'll make sure you won't forget about it.

To answer both of your questions.

1 - Yes, that game plays very similar to GTA 3 & GTA Vice City. It has a similar aesthetic style as well. So if you enjoyed either of those games you will love the playing style of this game.

2 - I haven't "died" in the game yet but I have been eaten by a shark. :)

When that happened I simply respawned back on land next to the water and it took some coins away from me. No big deal at all. :)

BTW - This game is awesome! Buy it dude!

I can't answer if it's similar to GTA, since I've never played it. But when you lose all your hearts ( die), you just respawn and lose some studs ( the game's currency for purchasing characters and vehicles).

The real killer thing in the game is load screens.
