That looked really cool.
Although, this isn't really my thing to impart wisdom beyond that.

That's what I thought myself, though from my limited experience from viewing different types of graphical demos I think this could do with some more variation. At least the square shapes are a welcome change from the usual "smooth sphere" objects :)

It sounded very Harry Potter to start, and then exploded into this RPGish techno remix... dubstep.

The point is, if they use this track in commercials when advertising, it's a win.

Oh, they had better use this in commercials. And special events. And the Wii U menu.

...It's catchy :)

Related to the video, it apparently supports all modern lighting effects and stuff. Including things the PS360 doesn't support.

Problems I see with wii U videos relating to graphics is...... their always at 720p, i found no videos at 1080p to show off the real graphics. And according to the description of the video..."Not only that, but support Native 1080p resolutions with both MLAA and AF which will enhance smoothing edges beyond what normal consoles have at the moment." So Wii U graphics will be superior then current consoles? :)

They're 5-6 years old.

Edit: Wait, why would they use Microsoft's Direct X 10?

Don't worry about the difference between 720p and 1080p, you have to be up close to the actual screen to notice any difference in clarity. It makes little difference in real life, let alone on a video. I'm sure at 720p we're seeing an accurate representation of the intended effects/graphics of the demos.

That's the reason why I'm calling BS on this one. If Direct X 10 belongs to Microsoft, then how could it be in the Wii U?

@Auzzie Wingwan: Again, I still can't tell if you're being sarcastic :3

@Andy: I really have no idea about this, hopefully someone here does.EDIT: Wait, didn't Nintendo already confirm that the Wii U is using DirectX 10?

They're not. Nintendo is using OpenGL 4.1 which is the equivalent to Direct X10. They say Directx10 because it's the most known measure (People are like that, they use names as measures instead of numbers...) so that more people can get a good idea of how well it'll play out. However, I've been told by some friends who study computer sciences at my college that Open GL does a bit better than Direct X so it will be like DirectX10.4 for the Wii U. I doubt my friends trolled me, but they have tricked me before so who knows. lol

Yeah, I have read many times over the net that OpenGL is better than DirectX, and that DirectX is basically trying to be at least the same.

@NinjaShock: Maybe...

I've heard similar from a very CS-savvy person. Not a comparison between the two, but that OpenGL is just plain awesome.

Really? I thought that the major difference between DirectX 10 and 11 was the implementation of Tessellation, and OpenGL 4.0 has Tessellation.

Yeah, this is what I meant.
OpenGL already had something before DirectX.

This looks awesome but after about 30 seconds it all becomes a bit same-y. I'd like to see how this could be implemented in game.
