According to a thread on NeoGAF, the Wii U outsold the Playstation 3 last week. Analysts believe the release of Dragon Quest X and Game & Wario in the country likely helped the console which has needed more support for a few months now. Some believe that because of the success of these two games along with the system, perhaps the rest of the world could see localization for the system.
