I was just wondering whether everyone has been keeping up with them as apparently North America are really interested in the chaos that has been unfolding here. In started off in one borough of London but quickly spread even to my borough where the town center has been smashed and shops have been looted.

As far as I'm aware, some people were injured, but no one had any serious injuries. It started off as a protest, but then descended into a riot. From what I've seen, most of the people involved had no interest in the protest, but just wanted to cause trouble. That's the second time a protest in London has ended in violence in the last year.

A man was shot dead by police and people are really angry about it. The official statement is that he shot at police but we won't know for sure until the ballistic results come in tomorrow

8 policeman have been taken to hospital some with serious injuries, several people have lost their homes. This is a little bit worse seeing as people didn't lose their homes in that and it was contained to one place. This is happening in about six different areas of London and it is about a man's death rather than student fees.

I can hear people RIGHT NOW shouting and breaking things on the local main road. I'm just hoping they don't cross the threshold and set anywhere near me alight...

My bro just told me the violence has spread to Birmingham and Leeds...

I've been following this since it started.

As far as a know, a man was gunned down by police during a firefight, and then some people started random fires.
But now they think that some people are just doing it to get away with looting.
