i gave up reading after he predicted the 720 would sell better then the xbox 360... even tho NOTHING about the system has been announced yet.
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

I'm guessing it will be near the sales of the PS4 and Xbox but not above.
Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

Quite an interesting read.
His Wii U sales numbers are off though.
The Nintendo Wii U has actually sold 3.06 million units from release to year end,
with a total of 11.69 million software units sold.
Any predictions concerning the success of the 720 are a bit futile as we know nothing about the system,
the price point of the PS4 will be a huge deciding factor as well.
Considering the Wii U, I agree with most of what he says.
I also believe Nintendo will come out on top by the end of the year.

I understand you there are some bold asumptions the author is stating but, keep in mind the author is just giving his opinion and educated or uneducated guesses nothing different than what Pacter was and still is doing with his predictions.
I don't expect many to read the whole article but I thought it was a good read and want to know if you think (based on the article) the Wii U reign strong this holiday against the PS4 and 720.

I didn't really see anything in this article that was too out of there. Most of the predictions and evaluations were for the most part grounded. The problem with these predictions right now is that there is still so much we don't know about the other systems. (PRICE, full feature list, complete specs, launch line ups, etc.) We don't know what anyone has coming at E3 and what they will have this holiday season. We have some good ideas, but nothing concrete.
There are too many factors right now that are just up in the air that can drastically change things. For starters he assumes that the 720 will be on par with the PS4. We honestly don't know for sure, there's no guarantee of it. Microsoft going for some middle ground between the WiiU and PS4 is a viable option for them. Not saying it will happen, but it's possible. Especially with Microsoft's current focus and success with the kinect. That would also possible come come with a cheaper price which would change things up.
Though I do think that Nintendo does have some advantages going in to this gen. I think the point about the lowering of the yen value was a big deal. I think that they were trying hard to hit $250 and $300 for their WiiU prices but the exchange rate just wouldn't let it happen. Now, maybe they can hit those numbers.

I read the entire article, and think that while some of the assumptions are bold, it isn't outside the realm of possibility and I think he's quite right in the main prediction.

Far too early to predict. Imagine a $50 price point, the games we know about, and a deluxe model @ $300. Plus unannounced 3rd party games. Plus Retro's Bazooka. Reverse that to far below expectations. Who knows.
That is what makes Pachter a joke. Well no #$%^ captain obvious. All analysts are jokes in general. Smart money moves before they report.
