Nintendo to upgrade 3DS before E3?

Owners of 3ds already have a lot to look forward too. So why would Nintendo focus on that? Next to miiverse integration there is an other weak point to look at the 3ds. Yes, the standard system itself. Wouldn't it make sense to announce a better build standard 3ds which resembles the style and build quality of the XL?
It would be good timing to announce the new version with updates in software (OS and Apps such as Miiverse) with new tech like NFC.
On the other hand, the show is focussed on the west, it would make sense if Nintendo had such a big announcement it would wait for e3.
What the world needs is more geniuses with humility, there are so few of us left

They want to show you a pokemon xy trailer and discuss games they've been keeping quiet on.
There's still 2 months to e3, plenty to hold back.
Also worth noting directs are for games in the next few months I'll be playing.
E3 is for games which I'll be playing about a year or 6 months from now.

Iwata came out and stated "There will be NO UPGRADES to the 3ds", btw the 3ds xl isn't a upgrade, its just a bigger screen.
so ya... no upgrades at all.
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

Please, just please stop Nintendo. The 3DS is already up the charts and obliterated the Vita out of the galaxy. I'm already happy with my 3DS to the max but shouldn't you be focusing on the 4 million people who bought a Wii U.
oh c'mon it can't hurt

The difference here is it is just a USA/UK ND which means no new games but instead news on localization which I see nothing wrong with. So it is not new games but isntead old games that Japan has had for a bit that we are getting like maybe Layton vs Wright

Maybe they are getting all that 3DS stuff out of the way and focusing on Wii U at E3.
I still think that there`s something big come E3.

That does seem quite plausible. An E3 press conference focusing primarily on the Wii U would make a big impact. Then again that maybe asking too much of Nintendo.

It could happen.
E3 is not that far away with probably one more ND before E3. If Nintendo doesn`t reveal anything before it, you can be certain that they are saving it for E3.
Not that 3DS will only have a few minutes, but seeing as they have already revealed their big titles for this year, most likely, E3 will still hold a big announcement for 3DS and the rest will be mostly vídeos. Wii U might just get the bulk of announcements and videos. They really need to show a lot from both 1st party and 3rd party devs for the console.

Yeah, the E3 2012 conference was mostly Wii U based. Only about 10 to 15 minutes was spent on 3DS games ( with a mini conference proceeding it a day later). So it is possible that Nintendo will focus on the Wii U for the most part in their conference, with 3DS news in PR's, the show floor, or at another conference.
