Frontier Developments, the company behind Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, unveiled today the newest rollercoaster simulator to come exclusively to the Wii U, Crazy Coaster Deluxe. If you’re like me, then you can recall the glorious days of building rollercoasters, running a a grand amusement park, and likely building rollercoasters that wouldn’t stand up to safety inspections in the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Hopefully this game will stand head and shoulders with the series before it.
You can read more about the announcement after the break:
The company also said the game would make full use of the GamePad with various building mechanics. As Wii U Daily points out:
The game also features the ability to flick the GamePad upward quickly to eject the Crazies from the coaster, signifying that Frontier knows one of the funnest parts of roller coaster development is watching your creation fail horribly.
Glad to see that wasn’t just me as a kid…
Anyway! On the video trailer itself, Frontier Developments received some negative criticism about the game, one person saying:
I’m glad they used my kickstarter money for marketing a Ipod game for consoles.
Money well spent.
However, the company did respond to such messages, saying:
None of the money from the Kickstarter was spent on the development or marketing of Coaster Crazy. This video was produced in-house as well, so the only cost involved was the time spent making it.
At any rate, neither a price nor a release date was release, however, I feel I will no doubt be picking up this game, but will you be picking up this game as well?
