Lots of GAME stores around my area don't even stock Need for Speed Most Wanted: U and barely have any Wii U games, and when I enquire (despite them being in stock online) they said it's on their list as not released yet.

They could easily expand their Wii U selection , even with the the smaller games library, no wonder a lot of publishers aren't getting many sales as retailers aren't stocking Wii U games. Hell my local ASDA (Walmart for you american types) don't stock any Wii Us or Wii U games. There's no advertising saying "Nintendo's next gen console now in stock!" Nothing....

Either Nintendo are embarrassed here in the UK about their console, or retailers have just completely given up.

Although I must say the staff of my local GAME are all just  waiting for E3. They all keep on saying "once Nintendo show at E3 we'll be having trouble not having enough Wii U's" so maybe they're just being numb nuts, biting bullets and waiting until E3 to start increasing their Wii U section?

Do you think retailers are biased? Do you think it's retailers panicking due to negative press? Do you think a lot of the negative press is paid for by Microsoft and Sony? Do you think there's anything Nintendo can do about damage control?

I'm trying not to make this sound like a Nintendo is doomed topic, and more a "pissed at retailers, Nintendo's marketing staff, and the media" topic.

I think the main problem is that people do not want to spend £50 on a new game, it's too much.

Also, yeah, barely anywhere seems to actually stock Wii U games and such, perhaps it's just that GAME have the monopoly and can therefore charge whatever the hell they like.

We need to see the Wii U in supermarkets and the TV, otherwise average joe six-tooth will not really know it exists.

That's strange, I bought my Wii U from Asda and I've bought a few games from my GAME.
Maybe it's just your local ones being dumb.

My local Game (Stockport) has a fair few Wii U games in but it still seems like the public is largely ignorant as to what it is, there were a couple of folks playing a demo unit and one thought it was a controller add on for the wii and another thought it was just a big DS, this to me is down to Nintendo's lack of advertising and educating the general public, also in the store in Manchester the demo units weren't even switched on, poor support all round it seems at the moment, and it's a damn shame as off tv play has to be one of the greatest inventions ever!

Luigi's Mansion has been advertised on TV loads over here but i've not seen one advert for Lego City or Monster Hunter, it's almost as if they're waiting for the update to fix things then they will start to push it.

Another bad marketing from a company... Nintendo will save their dirty #$# and they bump nintendo right now.... When the time comes, they will even dressed like yoshi be able to sell nintendo.  Because nintendo allows used games and game lives from it and from the point GAME doesnt care about stocking up nintendo games, thats bad for them.  (Because they hurt nintendo for not stocking up games and they rely in dead systems, 360 and ps3)... in 2 years everybody will stop buying 360 and ps3s... So game will stop existing.

Gamestop in the states is variant as well.  Some will have some decent wall space for it, some won't.  The few near me actually give the Wii U a fair bit of attention, and one of the stores doesn't even have a demo kiosk.  I see people in there all the time checking out the Wii u selection.

you have to shop around in the uk as some games wont come to game but will come to grainger games or argos for instance

plus online shops dont have certain games aswell

its like a 21 yr old walking in a shop and seeing they have a xbox 360 and playstation three version of call of duty 12 but none for the wii u, the lad walks over to the till and asks why and they tell him they didnt know about it so the lad picks up one of the other copy for the xbox 360 or playstation three which leaves nintendo stunned  as to why theres no copys of the game around

point of the story is nintendo need to stop limiting wii u games or people wont buy there console and go and buy one from sony and microsoft

also havent nintendo stated that they wont be at e3 this year

GAME almost went out of business, they're not going to keep copies of games that aren't selling in stock.

I went into GAME today and asked the Manager (someone who is supposed to know) instead of an employee and he wasn't even aware the game (Need for Speed Most Wanted: U) existed until he looked it up on the website and spent 5 minutes trying to find it on their system

My local GAME are Sony/Microsoft elitests, When you go in they think they know everything like for instance, I went in one day because there were rumors on Miiverse that Scribblenauts Unlimited had finally been released in the UK, I had, had a pre-order down since I got the console on release day, I asked the dude behind counter when I got there and he said "hold on let me just go and check" so I waited for him, then he came back "yeah the game was just delayed" I said "no, that was a few months ago, it was supposed to come out on Feb 8th, today is March 22nd and there are rumors on Miiverse that it's finally out in the UK, that's what I was trying to check" anyway he was arrogant and nasty about it and argued with me for like 10 mins I even said "you know that article you read on the computer about Scribblenauts? Did you check the date it was written?" he said "nope I don't have to cos' I know I'm right". Another time I went in was for Lego City Undercover, it had been out in the UK for 3 days and in store it still said on the boxes "Coming Soon" so I asked and the lady got all mad at me for arguing the point that it was out already, I just said "you know what? I'm sick of the way I'm spoken to as a consumer in your store, THIS IS WHY I SHOP ONLINE!!! Knowonder it's always dead in here" and the I left. But it's true knowonder why people shop online, they are nasty arrogant b*****ds, and I really couldn't give two flying f**ks if the likes of GAME and HMV went bust, their prices are extorsionate and their people skills are crap, plus with online shopping it come right to my door, screw GAME!

I hate GAME. You can buy Arkham City for £20 or under in other shops but GAME charge £50. Theyre really overpriced
