Firstly i would like to address i have no disdain for sony or microsoft (maybe ea.) Since i was young i have enjoyed video games in general and back then i could just waltz over to the bargain bin section and pick some random game that looked cool and be happy with it. When the wii, and ps360 came out i was amazed at the new graphics and what the systems could do. But the older i got the more i felt i had to be careful with what i bought and what appealed to me, and also becoming more aware of the companies, devs, sales, etc. My point is i feel for alot of people around my age group (im 20.) This is are first home console launch where we are a lot more aware of the games and what is going on than in the previous launch. But i feel that awareness has caused alot of people to want off this console due to lack of games. Even though it has only been out for 6 MONTHS. It's like when you think you are special when something specific happens to you even though it happened to your parents and grandparents etc. This is nothing new and i wish more people would look past what's being spouted by companies like ea and out of touch "analyst." I feel this console has great potential but it is FAR too early to write it off so soon.  Please discuss.

Sincerely max :)

I believe the Wii U has potential, but I'm not going to pretend everything is OK right now when it's not. There should have been more games in the first 6 months. However, there will be games by the end of the year and all the doom and gloom crap will be resolved.

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect :)

I agree. I'm not saying everything is ok and the launch could of been way better. But i mean it's only been 6 months. do people really have that short of an attention span?

Wii U is the most fun I've had in a console for a long time, I completely love it to bits and I really am exited for the future.

From what I experienced , its okay. I'm sick of the reception its getting, one party is saying its crap and not next gen and others are saying it can run next gen hardware so it is next gen, I might just stick with 1st party instead of 3rd like i did with the Wii.

We still don't know for sure one way or the other, no matter what anyone says. The latest opinions on what it is show the hardware as being slightly unimpressive.

I feel like everything is ok, what has nintendo truly lost at this exact moment?

sony and microsoft have not launched yet, and by the time they do, nintendo will have it's heavy hitters on the console

We are seeing the same episode play out that was the "3DS vs Vita"

that 6-8 months the 3ds had zilch, next to zelda and starfox, and people doomed the 3ds because of the more powerful vita and all that, then they dropped mario and mario kart 3 months before Vita released. Now tell me, how did that play out for nintendo, 30 million units later to the vitas 5 million...i say ok.

Right now, Nintendo is already ahead of the game, they have consoles out in peoples homes, they're at the checkpoint, getting ready to drop their games  at a time when the other 2 companies will just be starting the race.

I own all the systems except xbox because i didn't want to pay for xbox live, but ALL the systems are good systems, none of them are doomed, and all these threads are going to be fruitless this time year, because we will be saying the same thing after the launch titles of sony and microsoft "where are the games" because its just what happens.

Nintendo is the Dev that needed to pull through; therefore, it is their fault.

yes and no. Don't forget a lot of this "no games" perception is because Ubisoft delayed the launch of Rayman Legends to September.

People need to stop worry about what is going to happen and relax don't worry about the games and third party support the wii u hasn't got just now and enjoy the titles you do have.

Just enjoy the system :)

Stop being so close minded and fanboyish! It is Nintendos job to get third party support, and the reason they have none is because there is barely an install base! The reason there is no install base is because there are no games! If Ninty would have planned the launch better and had several great exclusives such as a Mario kart or a 3D Mario, the system would have no doubt sold better. Also, Nintendo disnt advertise nearly as much as they should have; I still hear people who think the wii u is just a peripheral for the Wii. If Ninty would have actually advertised well, it would have sold better, and Acitovision may have been financially able to come to the system! People forget games are a business, and Activision can't afford to put games on a system that don't sell well, because they lose money, and that is bad business. So in then end, it is indeed Nintendo's fault.
PS. I still love Ninty and their games.
