There is a very loose rumour floating around that development of Battlefield 3 will not begin until 2012, implying that the game itself won’t be released until 2013. I just want to say that this sounds sort of ridiculous. I think Electronic Arts will either:
- Release Battlefield 3 within the launch window of the Wii U.
- Never release Battlefield 3 for the Wii U.
If the game doesn’t come out until 2013, it’s pretty much lost all of its relevance. Few people would specifically wait around for the Wii U version. Then again, Electronic Arts has made silly decisions before. But with the architecture of the Wii U being considered so similar to the Xbox 360, I can’t see it taking too long to be ported.
