Before the Wii U was announced, 01net shared a lot of rumors that turned out to be incredibly accurate. They’ve shared a few more details about the Wii U that, while they can’t be confirmed, sound plausible.
What’s unfortunate to hear though is that apparently there are problems with the dev kit for the Wii U. This doesn’t mean the Wii U itself is going to have troubles necessarily, but it’s the sort of thing that impedes developers and that will only hurt the launch line-up and what we get from the Wii U.
Here’s the full quote:
So far, developers are working with a tethered controller: each one is fitted with a small black box with a tethered connection to the main unit. And even then, it still doesn’t work properly. Many developers are feeling lost, their progress impeded by a distinct lack of visibility, their working days paced by the quasi-daily software updates. In those conditions, many feel unable to properly exploit the system’s most innovative and promising features, those very features they haven’t been able to test properly so far.
It’s worrying if this is true. Hopefully Nintendo get the issues sorted.
