Not just a lazy port, they actually fixed some of the audio glitches and made everything run really smooth.

 

This is why I like Nintendo, they pick up on those little things. Also Super Mario world runs great

Anyone else notice the music in the 'wrecked ship' is different to the original?

Playing Super Metroid on the gamepad is awkward for me. Also, the sound is waaaay too low. They could've upped the volume. Either way, solid port, I guess.

Seeing as I've never actually played the original, I didn't notice any differences.

I love it, the only problem I have is I live in Europe and they included French and German Subtitles which you can't turn off, really quite annoying sometimes....... Solid port apart from that little hiccup though

That annoyed me at the start. But that's all there is, really, just a little bit at the start.

Yes I find that really annoying too. They could have easily offered us a version that had an option to play it without those subtitles.
