Maybe Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with this interview based on their newest console, the XBox One.
In the interview, XBox executive Don Mattrick says for the people who don’t have an internet connection, Microsoft already has a console for you, the XBox 360. That’s right, don’t bother upgrading this generation if you don’t have internet. Then again, if you don’t have internet, you’re likely not reading this, but the point remains. It’s almost as if he’s talking down to people who disagree with the internet connection requirement.
In my opinion, although the XBox One is about as powerful as the PlayStation 4, Microsoft is not doing themselves any good by singling out a group of people based on internet connection. Granted, more people have internet now than when the XBox 360 was released, but there are times when internet connection may be impossible.
Luckily, even if you don’t have a constant internet connection, you can always play the Nintendo Wii U or Sony PlayStation 4.
