............Why?

All in 1 systems are great but why Nintendo systems? such as GTAV on Wii U, why does it make you feel better if its on a Nintendo console?

Its certainly not a PC, Watch Dogs on Wii U won't be the best version out of the Ps4 or PC versions, might be the worst concidering Ubisoft didn't talk about it at all after that chick said they don't have any more planned games on Wii U. I keep seeing comments like "Ugh Call of Duty sucks it stinks and i don't like it....But It'll be much better on the Wii U!"

The reason I think 3rd party games are better on Wii U is because it's the only console I have and the only one I will be using for the next few years.

Because I own a Wii U and don't want to spend 400 euro or 500 on another console to do the same thing as the Wii U can do.

THIS.

And this.

And I sometimes hope that they add GamePad functions that the other consoles are missing. GamePad features>graphics.

Wow excellent question, I dont know if its the best for all 3rd party games but I feel some might benefit from the gamepad like sports games (drawing plays and instant access to settings), or games like GTA could also benefit by applying mini games like hot wiring a car or turning the radio stations or even calling people with the cell phone.

Granted its not something ground breaking but it would be a nice touch to the game, think of it like this when a player dives into water you want to see the player look wet(clothes, hair, etc.) even though it probably wouldn't hinder the game if it didn't have it but that type of stuff can give the gamer(me) a good feeling like "wow that looks kool" or "you can do that, thats awesome" type feeling. Some might call it a gimmick but I think its good stuff that comes in small dosages. Again thats not to say GTA would definitely be better on Wiiu but I would like to see it.

I was fooled, as were many others, I love Nintendo games, and I love third party games like GTA V, Skyrim and Mass Effect, moneys tight at the moment and Nintendo promised it was fighting to get the hardcore gamer back, they promised us a single machine where we could experiance the utter briliance of Nintendo IP's with all of our favourite third party IP's too. Well don't I feel stupid now, we've got NO third party games apart from Ubisoft's, Nintendo seems to be running round in circles confused and not knowing what to do, Iwatta keeps lying, how many times has he said third party games are coming and then NOTHING!!! So thank's Nintendo, you've cost me £350 as my Wii U at least for now is a giant door stopper, and on top of that you have cost me another £350 as I've now gotta go and buy a PS4. That's why I thought third party games would be good on Wii U, I wanted one console this gen, Nintendo said they could provide that, they lied.

Oh and don't say it's all the third party's fault, Nintendo knew thier relationships with third partys were rocky ones, Nintendo told us THE FANS that they were taking the right steps to remedy the situation, still nothing, the amount of money Nintendo have, they should have been throwing it to third partys, the results would have come, Nintendo are too busy bieng stuck in the 90s for thier own good, fire Iwatta, hire someone new, simple as.

Your right. They pulled a 180 with the Wii U from the reveal. They should have had the best tools and incentives to get third parties on board from day one, as they promised.

Now they they are back to being different, and not caring what the competition is doing, which is fine. I don't understand how 2013 big releases are not all heading toward the platform either.

Sad as it is, they need a wake up call. Luckily, Iwata being CEO of NOA now will probably get things fixed quicker. However, nobody will buy that third party game if it does not make use of the gamepad, and it has a better version on a machine they already have.

I never buy Nintendo consoles  with the thought of third party games in my mind. You buy Nintendo consoles for the first party games. Any third party game that comes out for it is secondary. Developers have realized that competing with Nintendo's first party games is near impossible.

This is definitely a place where me and the OP will be bumping heads likely this whole generation lol, so its a good topic. I think we already did once or twice, but its funny because I seem to agree with everything else Julio has said.

For my part though - three reasons:

1. Because I own a wii U. That's why. And I have no intention of owning a PS4 or Xbox One. I'd actually like to get rid of my PS3 if I could get over a couple titles and use the money for more wii u games. I want to play one console exclusively because I've been a retro gamer and I've seen my pockets draqined by maintaining and supporting multible consoles plus the general clutter and disorganization in my living space.

2. Because the controls for the Wii U are my favorite. I am fine with playing even a slightly dubbed down version of a game in order to play it with my favorite controller and I have never been as in love with a controller as I have been the Wii U gamepad.

3. Because I don't give a flying &^%$ about DLC about 90% of the time. LOL. In fact Luigi U is the first time outside elder scrolls I have ever cared about it. Most DLC is, in my opinion, trash, and the whole idea behind DLC is just a way to separate my pocket from my money. When I see DLC my first thought is you jerks sold me half a game, why wasn't it there to begin with?

Maybe that's not quite what you were going for but it IS why I buy multis for wii u not another console.

I don't think that third party games are literally better on the Wii U. I just think, since I am primarily a Nintendo fan and am guaranteed to want several first party Nintendo titles with each console, that it would be great if all of the third party titles I wanted would come out on the console as well so I wouldn't even have to think about buying another console.

I'm not really into Microsoft or Sony's first party games. I'm not into the games that primarily come out for those consoles. To buy the systems for a couple of games, mainly ones that aren't even exclusives just feels weird... I want all of the games on a Nintendo console. That's much less money wasted. Simple.
