I love the way the controller feels in my hands, even if it's not utilized....

When I played the demo of Rayman in HMV just before the Wii U's release in November, it felt too big and cumbersome and I thought it wouldn't sell well at all and/or there would be lots of people complaining about it.

But after buying it in February I've totally fallen in love with the console and the gamepad, even if I do still think the gamepad could be a little thinner and lighter.

Now I'm just waiting for Pikimin 3, New Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8.

They should drop the one thing that makes it stand out? The gamepad should be used to enhance games, such as having your inventory at all times, a moves list, and a map. Also, they want to push Off-TV Play, which is the best feature of the system.

off-tv play is such an under rated feature, i use it so much, and it's such a plus when I'm in a different room or trying to watch tv too.

But the only way to really bring out the features of the gamepad is to design a game around the gamepad. In other words, porting games over will do nothing more but be an inventory or map, which i personally don't have an issue with. But if you think gamepad features 1st, then game, then you have something.

no they should not drop the Wii U gamepad, but I do have to say that they should instead prolong the battery life of the pad and perhaps make it less heavy.

No.

95% of my Wii U use is without the TV on.

they should remove the need of being mandatory... And give fully functionality to the pro controller. So people may not use the screen gamepad or use it in specific games and off-tv.

They should keep the GamePad, and ditch the Wiimote as soon as possible in favor of the Pro Controller.

Through the better graphics, the improved online, and all the other things the Wii U makes better, the Wii U game pad is the biggest feature of the Wii U. Why would anyone ever want to see it go? It makes the Wii U the fun and unique game system it is.

Why would Nintendo want to drop a Gamepad? It will probably just break.

No absolutly not, it's what makes the Wii U unique, Nintendo just need to find a way to best use it.
