PS4 for da win

I did notice however that at the bottom right of the PS4 box, it says Black. Could this hint at different colors at launch?

I like the packaging on both systems and love both systems. I have both preordered  and think both systems will offer awsome games. Its a great time to be a gamer.

I actually think a white PS4 would be beautiful. What's up with white coming back into style?

XBOX one in white would be kinda ugly though. I like the PS4 and Wii U boxes the best.

Hm, I got used to the Xbox's green color scheme. I like the black, though. Attractive box, IMO. The PS4 one is nice too, it looks like the Vita box.

Nothing wrong with some good 'ole white color scheme. The Wii U looks great in white.

 

Also, are these official boxes? I know the XB1 is, but what about PS4?

I like the PS4 one it looks awesome, it's taken a while but it's hard to belive the next generation is upon us, it feels like yesterday when the last consoles came out, onward to the future I suppose

The ps4 box looks like a cheap Samsung galaxy home screen.

The Wii u box is a tiny bit better.

But the Xbox one boxi is far and away the best. It's clean, modern, classy, and follows modern design conventions. In addition, the box actually follows. The console design cues. Very clever. Surprisingly, however, the box is all nearly monochrome. They use a very nice Pantone green in their marketing, yet it's absent from the box? That flat black stripe would really do well to be that green color instead.

The ps4 console looks awesome. But the box looks like a Chinese knockoff product.

They use a very nice green in their marketing. They should do so here. A mystery why they haven't.

  Xbox One would win by a mile except for the half controller on the side... what the hell is that.

 

 Does the PS4 have to stand up like that? If so, I'd hate not having the option to lay it down "properly."

Well... IMO the Xbone one is ruined by it's ugly controller, i just can't stand the look of it's design. Im sure it will be a great controller but it's so damn dull.

I know there's a texture difference but I can't help but think that a completely black box like that is very... bad? It's not so much ugly as it is "meh". Not eye catching at all. I don't really get a "classy, modern" vibe from it either. Showing only half of the console is kinda awkward too. I dunno.

I have to say that I think the PS4 is much better designed. Despite having very similar components, the PS4 is significantly smaller while having a built in PSU. I don't think the Xbox One has an internal PSU, because I looked at the ports and the power port doesn't match the standard two-prong detachable cord connector. And I'm still concerned about the Xbox's giant top vent.

 

And the PS4 is more interesting to look at.
