When I was a freshman I met alot of screwed up students, the poor cholo ones were doing weed and all this messed up s##t like heroine in class. Like litterally having their eyes red and breathing slowly, that actually happened and he didn't get caught. I'm straight edge, I never did a drugs, smoke or drink in my life, (WHERE'S MY ICECREAM BARS!) In freshman year I was with my friend Daniel, and 2 other people which I'm not really friends anymore, one's female one's male. I remember there was this girl we met in high school, she dressed kind of sexually and always had her make up, I was coming back from a meeting or something and going to the spot were we hang out until I saw Daniel walking away and going towards me like something happened, I asked him where were the other 2 friends of ours. He told me the girl we met were out back with 2 of our friends smoking weed out back and that is why he left because it was f'd up. I couldn't believe what he just said to me but he sounded really worrying, then when we found them, they were high. Our friend was laughing while saying "Hey Daniel, Hahahaha, why did you run off. Are you that scared hahahahaha." They acted very weird, the girl of our group as grumpy as hell like if she was on her period, we decided to leave them behind and went to what we call the 'Anime' people through the whole school year, which I remember till this day my friend Daniel saying he's not gonna enjoy it, but through the whole school year he became one of them. Acting silly and what not and going to comedy club, they apologized to us, Daniel still talks to them but not as much like back then, but I don't really want them in my life anymore, the girl of the group is so paranoid with relationships and the guy was a f^^cking a hole that I just despise him to no end.

I smoked for a period of time, but I agree that drugs and alcohol change people's attitudes and it freaking sucks.

I live in a state where marijuana is legal and everybody claims that Colorado has the best weed. So obviously "blazing" is the popular thing to do here. I really don't mind if you smoke/drink during special occasions (meaning only when you party etc...), but I rather not surround myself with people that become addicts. 

 

Weed is just an excuse for laziness in my opinion. I HATE when people say they rely on weed to concentrate in class...

I went to a party the summer going in to my junior year, got completely smashed, I think I might have smoked weed, but I'm really not sure because I don't remember anything other than waking up in my friends Subaru at his house across town and wonder how the balls did I get there. I heard a while later that I punched my best friend right in the balls. I haven't gotten wasted since and I don't plan on it either.

All the time when I was at school, it was like the awesome thing to do, which obviously as you grow older you realise it was stupid.

In High School I used to smoke and drink all the time. I don't do either much now except for being a heavy cigarette smoker. Sometimes if I feel like it I'll get some beers and get drunk in my house.

In highschool a lot of the people I know smoke and drink. I mostly stay away from that stuff though. 
I do have the odd drink though if I'm at a party.

I've been pretty lucky that my school doesn't seem to have too many people that do that kind of thing because I really don't want to be "peer pressured" into doing something that I'll regret later in life.

After turning 18 (legal age in Alberta) I've only got drunk a few times (primarily on or a round my birthday when my sister visits me of vice versa). My only cigarette I've ever had a guy gave me at a party that my sister brought me to (I don't get out much), and I didn't really smoke it properly, just sucked it down as fast as possible without enjoying it. I have not seen any other drug first hand and I doubt I'd recognize any of them (though I heard canabis has a strong and distinctive smell)

I definitely knew some people in high school who looked like they smoked some drugs before homeroom started, though thankfully none of my friends nor I did that.

Nope. I mean I know and am/were friends with people who smoked and drank, its hard to not know one of them. But I never felt peer pressured to join in, i'll admit I tried a cigarette and a sip of beer, both were horrible. Goody too shoes..

i was never curious about drugs in high school, but I guess I might have been sort of curious regarding alcohol and smoking since during college and onward I developed a habit of smoking and was introduced to alcohol.  I haven't stopped since, though admittedly I smoke more than I drink as hangovers annoy me.

I think cigarettes/ any other type of tobacco is absolutely disgusting and I promise I would never do it in my life that's one thing for sure. Alcohol and Drugs...well alcohol I see as more of a social thing but not in high school. I've tried beer with family b4 and I hated it so...

Drugs are where it gets interesting for me. At most I would probably smoke weed but Im smart enough not to make it into an addiction. my cousins who just came back from Europe and I are planning a trip to Amsterdam just to get high when I graduate lol

Near the end part of my last year, we'd regularly walk into the local pub, have a few drinks, play some pool, right after we left school for the day. Not a day went by where we'd have a teacher telling us off because we weren't doing study for our HSC.

 

The usual excuse was we were testing out maths mettle by measuring angles on the pool table. That didn't fly because the teacher knew I had dropped from his maths class completely that year.

 

And here I am, 4 years later, still drinking at the pub doing the same game of pool with the same people. Get out and enjoy life, ya shut-ins.

So Saturday I got high for the first time, on marijuana, the first time nothing significant really happens, I was at a concert/festival, and me and my cousins were doing it, I did it, and not much happened,other than just:
-feeling wobbly and falling over sometimes,
-blanking out on your train of thought occasionally
-Your likely to get "The Munchies" meaning the first food you see, your gonna crave it, and when u get it or after 1 bite, your not gonna want it

If you ever do marijuana, which I don't enforce, but don't rule out either, don't do it all the time. I lit up like 5 times that day, and now I don't really feel the need for it. I'm not obsessed, yes I would do it again to get the trippy feeling, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to get it. If its ever brought up to me again then yes I'll do it.

Oh, and use a bong, never a joint or roll, they taste disgusting and it's worse for u
