I just got PS Plus today and have been downloading Xcom for about 4 and a half hours right now..

I changed by I.P. to static I.P. and am now up from 1.0 mb to 2.4 but this isnt the bump up I was looking for...

 

Can you please give me any advice to change help bump up my mb any higher I just want to download my games faster.

The slow speed has to do with the PS3/PSNs infrastructure.

Are you wired or wireless?
Not much you can do
Either get better internet or learn how to download over night.

Set your downloads to take place while you're doing other things.  You do have other things to do, right??

Set a bunch of downloads before you go to bed. Or download them in the background.

You could possibly get faster internet.

Downloading games over night i wont be home all day tomorrow so hopefully they all download.

I set auto download for overnight. I have a fast connection but still wait hours for stuff. As mentioned above its Sony that's the slow bit.

It's an issue everyone has. You can always connect the PS3 via Ethernet and enjoy a slight bump in speed, but even if you have a good internet connection it'll still take you some time to download multiple gigs of content. That's just the Playstation way 

 

Download overnight or download in the background while you play something else if you must. Just make sure you don't play something that's installed on your hard-drive because that'll stop the download in the background.
