I'm happy with MH Tri G, not sure about the second slide pad :S

A: It's way too small, and not flat enough.
B: It looks...crimped near the top.
And the Monster Hunter thing...if it's true, it's great. But it would seem to me that the 'G' looks...out of place. It'd be more like the '3' wouldn't it?

On one hand, I'm glad Nintendo didn't redesign the 3DS. On the other, I'm not sure how many games will support the peripheral. Nintendo normally doesn't force developers to make games with their devices. I can live with one slide pad, as I did with the PSP.

The reason it looks sorta weird is because it's a photo of a curved magazine page. It's also called the Circle Pad, not the slide pad.Uh...that slide pad looks really, really well photoshopped...for two reasons.

I've never played any Monster Hunter games, but it seems that they sell bucketloads wherever they go. So a Monster Hunter for the 3DS can surely be nothing but a good sign. I heard that Monster Hunter was the sole reason the PSP continued to sell well in Japan for the past while. Is the series worth getting into?

I'm definitely excited for Monster Hunters on the 3DS, and the second circle pad does solve the problem for lefties playing Kid Icarus. I'm also glad the second circle pad is next to the ABXY buttons and not bellow them, as I can't imagine it being comfortable holding the 3DS by the lower right corner.

I really hope Nintendo can compensate us 3DS users who bought the oringal.... If we don't get compensation for this, I'll be ticked off.
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

I'll only consider buying this if lots of developers support it, although I'll still be pretty annoyed with Nintendo. When Nintendo's next handheld is released, I think I'll wait a while before buying it, to avoid a repeat of this.
Monster Hunter 3D on the other hand, is great news and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

a second analog pad will make it possible for some fps games and other games that needs two sticks/pad.
And monster hunter 3? Just plain awesome
I can see nintendo remaking the 3ds and for those who already got one, the add on will fix that. Just like the motion plus and wii remote plus.

Well, even for a bent magazine...the picture still looks really off.

Actually, I think Nintendo is making it, but for the same reason they made the classic controller pro: To get Capcom on board.Would everyone please notice that the article says that this is just for Monster Hunter Tri G. Capcom's the one who made it.
It's heavily implied that it is NOT necessary for the very game it's being made for, so why do people expect it be be a redesign? :S

Right now Capcom has no plans for localization, but the game was just announced yesterday. I just hope we don't have to wait a year after Japan gets it.

I think I'll just look forward to Monster Hunter 4 instead. I've still got 150 Hunter Ranks to roll through in MHTri.
Also, Kingdom Hearts 3D is starting to look super awesome now.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON
