You laugh at me because I am different. I pity you because you're all the same.

Banjo Kazooie and Tooie are among my favourite games of all time!
Have you played Nuts and bolts an if so did you enjoy it? I personally didn't, the lack of the old characters and the humour just wasn't what it was in the older games although maybe I'm just wearing nostalgia goggles.
Banjo's humour is amazing and some of the later levels haven't been matched in my humble opinion.

Yeah, I've played Nuts & Bolts, it's the only Banjo-Kazooie game I have played. It was decent in my opinion.
Well, Nuts & Bolts wasn't a bad game...but it was really subpar compared to the other games in the series.

Agreed, the way I like to look at it is if you separated Nuts and bolts from the rest of the games, it's a good game but when you look at the rest of the franchise it seems terrible. I miss the old Banjo humour.

I suppose, although Banjo Pilot and Banjo Kazooie : Grunty's revenge are the only true spin off games in my eyes (I've played them all > )I guess you could see it as a spin-off game.

You think so? I always had great fun playing it on long journeys, then again I was about 8 and I'm probably wearing nostalgia goggles.Oh yeah, I also have Banjo-Pilot for my GBA. B-P was pretty bad.

I just thought it had bad controls and was kinda rushed, but that's just my opinion. You think so? I always had great fun playing it on long journeys, then again I was about 8 and I'm probably wearing nostalgia goggles.

Well, I haven't played it in about 6 years so I couldn't tell you, all I know is I was obsessed with it as a child.I just thought it had bad controls and was kinda rushed, but that's just my opinion.

The game is not bad in itself, if they had made it a new ip the game would have been considered better, but it didn't live up to it's brand.

I agree, I loved that game, I played the crap out of that game as a child.I thought Grunty's Revenge was actually pretty decent, although it is a spin-off of sorts.
Microsoft probably wouldn't have funded/published a new IP so Rare hid behind the Banjo Kazooie brand and annoyed most of the fans in the process. The game is not bad in itself, if they had made it a new ip the game would have been considered better, but it didn't live up to it's brand.

I think that if Nintendo bought back Rare...the franchise would be revived.

Agreed, then we would all have some more epic in our lives and I would get more sleep at night, we should probably split this off into it's own topic along the lines of "If Nintendo bought Rare again..." I feel it would be rather interesting but it's fine here for the time being.
