“The Wii U hadn’t been revealed when development began for Sonic Lost World, so we were working on a PC version in order to see what kind of platformer we could make,” said Iizuka. “Then, when we tried to think about which platform would be best for this game, we chose Nintendo.”

Sonic games are best sold on a Nintendo consoles when Sega became a 3rd party company. I mean it seems unfitting to be with Sony or Microsoft since they both aren't in the business for so long compared to Sega & Nintendo, same deal goes for Megaman. Its so awesome to see once bitter enemies now are partnering with each other. Especially the Luigi & Miku Sega direct thing, that got me laughing to death, its so awesome.

This. Sonic Colors outsold all versions of Sonic Generations. Sonic Racing Transformed for the WIi U is the best-selling version right now. I also heard that the 3DS version of Sonic Generations too, but I'm not sure if that's true.

On a related note, they should throw in Nintendo costumes for Project Mirai 2. :P

Why not? VG Chartz is where it says it sold more.

Because VG Charts is a piece of crap and has a bad history of getting sales wrong. To be more precise, their estimates are usually off when the NPD numbers come out. On top of that, they don't disclose their methodology of how they got their sales estimates, which makes them even more dubious.

EDIT: According to their site, they estimate that the Wii U version sold 250,000 copies. However, Sega's financial report shows that the Wii U version sold 310,000 copies.  Even more of a reason not to trust them.

Because they are typically inaccurate and shouldn't be trusted. Its beyond me how many people quote them when discussing sales figures when its clear they aren't an accurate source.

Did I really need another post telling me the same thing someone else already told me?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

ANYYYYYYWAYYYY

glad sega chose nintendo. Personally, It would be best for them to just become an in house studio with Nintendo, It's the best thing for their company and all their franchises. both nintendo and segas' stock would rise with an exclusive partnership.
