I need a new laptop.  Preferably one that can run the Dolphin emulator for my wii games (which I own) at top spec.  This is my whole reason for getting a new laptop.  That plus the fact my current laptop get scary hot at the moment when running anything.
I feel as though I am being tricked by marketing and cannot figure out what would be best for me.
I am not rich.

any suggestions?

Hmm I never used the emulator before, but I suggest getting a laptop with at least a dual core processor and 4gb of ram

You should give us a list of laptops that you could afford and like and we could tell you the best one.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Discussions pertaining to emulation are prohibited under Rule 12. Exceptions to rules are permitted if you have contacted me privately prior to posting a topic, and have received my personal approval for it. But as you have not done that, lostdwarf, I'm afraid this topic will have to be locked.

The Dolphin Forums are a more appropriate place to get recommendations for specific computers that will run Dolphin. Such discussions are not only allowed there, but you will also get much better answers to your question because the people there will all be familiar with Dolphin and hardware it plays nice with.

That said, I do want to warn you that "inexpensive" and "Dolphin at full spec" are a combination you're gonna have a very hard time getting. Good luck.
