Anyone have any knowledge or articles about this?  Has it been announced for sure that GC games will come to the VC at some point?

No, it hasn't even been hinted at.

Don't count on it. Look at the Nes and Super Nes games up now, they can't upload most of them I assume because of some sort of licencing.

Most of the best games for the gamecube were rereleased for the Wii (Pikmin 1-2, Resident Evil 4, Zelda TP, Metroid Prime) or even the Wii U (Zelda WW). Killer7, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness and Prince of Persia SoT should be impossible for licensing reasons. That leaves us with... Super Mario Sunshine?

Metroid without the stupid nunchuck controls, Soul calibur 2, both zeldas without stupid nunchuck.

The only people that seem to like the controls are people on these forums. Youtube,my friends, me and anyone I have known to get a Wii horsing hates motion control.

Like everybody's already said, there currently aren't plans to add GameCube games to the Virtual Console.
