I'm super hyped up for KH 3D. But I want to play one KH game just to make sure it's worth the price. Which should I buy? CoM, 385/2, or Coded? Sadly, I know the story of all of them, so don't judge it by the story.

I should say 358/2 days or re:coded for the 3ds since they are closer to the actual gameplay of Kingdom Hearts. But I think Re:Coded will be better choice because the battle system is much more similar to KH 3d.

Neither 358/2 or RE:coded. They both have no importance to the story line of the other games. CoM's is the best Spinoff, because it actually is important to the story. Plus, Riku's story FTW

Since you're not doing it for story, get KH:Recoded.

It's a LOT more fun to play than COM and Days. (Comes from a KH fan who has only played the Nintendo released KH games, and watched ALL the cutscenes for the other 3 games... Call me weird if you wanna -.-)

My only recomendation would be 358/2 days, because that one is closer to the supposed gameplay of KH3D, and because I have not played RE:coded.

Trust me, re:coded is closer. It has attack commands, more variety in the way you play, and if you don't look at the story then it's a lot more fun and enjoyable

Actually, it's a two for one deal. I don't FULLY understand KH: Recoded because the cut-scenes made me confused. It didn't confuse me too much with 385/2 Days. The only one I 100% understand is CoM.

Question: Is CoM and Re:CoM the exact same story? Cause I saw Re:CoM cutscenes.

RE:Com has just better cutscenes and 1 or 2 more, but you can survive without them...

If you played KH 1 and ever played KH2 you should start with Chain of Memories or Re:Coded (this is a squel to 358/2 Days. Then a 3rd squeal to 358/2 days is Drop Dead Distance). If you have played KH2 then play them all starting with Chains of Memories. If you never played KH before, there's no point playing any of the handheld KH becuase you get confuse on whats happening and won't like the series and/ or stroyline (like my sister did). Its better to play KH (or watch walkthroughs if you don't have the game or PS2) so you can get the jizz on what the game bout.

People might say play just start playing any of the handheld game it doesn't matter. BUT YOU MUST PLAY KH AND KH2 BEFORE PLAYING THE HANDHELD becuase the handheld games refer and show sinces back to the PS2 games.

See I don't have a PS2, I just borrowed my freinds one and KH and played it through, then watched a walkthrough on youtube of the 2nd game before playing the handheld and when I played 358/2 Days it all made sense (unlike one of my sisters who never played KH before and started with 358/2 Days and the whole time she played, she would ask me questions becuase she haven't play KH or KH2, but I told her the stroyline. now she loves the series)
