Now you`ll understand why Nintendo didn`t cut the price of Wii U in Japan!
Starting on October, 31st:

Family set 1:

As you can see, it includes NSMB U and Wii Party U (according to neogaf, all games are pre-installed), a Wii Remote, Sensor Bar and Wii Karaoke U (30 day trial). All for 32.800 yen (Wii U regular version is priced at 31.500).

Family Set 2:

set02_photo.png As you can see, it includes NSMB U, Wii Party U, Wii Fit U (according to neogaf, all games are pre-installed), Fit Meter (according to Neogaf) a Wii Remote, Sensor Bar and Wii Karaoke U (30 day trial). All for 34.800 yen (Wii U regular version is priced at 31.500).

For comparison sake, this is basically the increase japanese gamers will see:

31.500 yen = 318.80$ / 236.40€

32.800 yen = 331.96$ / 246.17€

34.500 yen = 349.11$ / 258.93€

It is, isn`t it. And the price has barely gone up.

Next weeks, Wii U will be tanking on MC and Famitsu reports. At least that will be a good sign! :)

That's a good value.  Pick up Nintendoland at a reduced price and you can play a long time w/out getting any more games....

Hope it helps. Even though it's all about handhelds in Japan, I still think the Wii U could become the go to console for the country with a decent install base if given the right amount of support from key developers such as Capcom, Konami, and SE (Nintendo, these are the ones you should have been trying to woo over instead of EA!

It really is a good bundle.

But without the big support, it will only do so much. Fortunately, Wii U has MH 3 and DQ X to show that it can sell the big titles.
