Is it true I can't share save files between 2 Wii U's?

Hey,

I've got a question:

My "brother-in-law" has borrowed my Wii U for some days. However, he tried The Wonderful 101 and got completely sold!

Now he's thinking of buying a Wii U for his own, but is it possible to transfer his save file to his Wii U when he got one?

Or does he have to start over from the beginning?

Thanks!

Namko

Could you do such thing with a PS3/Xbox360 btw?

I think so, as they don't lock your storage drives to the system.

PS360 have the ability to store save games in the cloud if you have their premium subscription services (Xbox Live Gold and Playstation Plus), so yes it would be possible with one of those

Nintendo should think about doing the same. :)

Nintendo should think about doing a lot of things on their consoles that Sony and Microsoft already do on theirs. The question is will they ever do so. ;)

It worked fine on the Wii to just copy the save files to the SD card and move it to another console (except for online games like Monster Hunter and Smash Bros.). But you're saying it doesn't work on the WiiU?

Can gamesaves be shared between users on the same console? I'm more asking about Wind Waker TBH eg Account 1 starts playing and get about 3 hours in then Account 2 can sign in and continue from where account one left off?
