It seems local Best Buy stores are looking to clear out their stock of White Wii U Pro Controllers, as many of them are selling for just $9.99. You need to perform a specific search in order to find locations in your area and some of them are only discounted to $24.99, but it’s worth it if you want extra controllers. Click this link and then here’s how to search your area:

The best way to find if it’s available in your area is to Change Area, then set your price to Less than $25, then set your brand to Nintendo. From there you should be able to see if there are any stores that have it available for store pickup.

I was able to schedule a store pickup for one close to me for $10.99.

Unfortunately none of the official Pro Controllers are available in my area.  However, I do see that the PDP Afterglow (pro-style) controller is available for $6.99.

Anyone have any experience with that brand or particular product?

Damn, I wish I had prices like that here in Sweden  

A Wii U pro controller black goes for about $75 (489SEK) And the white one is even more expensive..

At that price, I´d say buy one if you don´t have any

I stopped by Best Buy after work to see if there were actually any Afterglow controllers in stock at the clearance price.  Luckily there was one left and I got it for $8.99. 

 

Just got done testing it with NSMBU and it works pretty well.  It feels a little light but I like that it's not too big and the mold is very similar to the Xbox 360 controller.  There is a little more play in the ZR and ZL triggers than on the gamepad but overall I like it, especially for $8.99.  We'll see how well it holds up over time!
