So... maybe this will work out well for Nintendo. Time will tell.

Anyway. .. as some may know I was really looKing forward to the PS4 and some strong launch titles. ..

Well to no one's suprise 2 big games are being delayed until 2014... this sounds so familiar.


No infamous second son or watch dogs.

So I can get Knack and Killzone. May pick up AC4 just because.

Hype now gone. Oh well.

There will be many FPS to choose from though! Yippeeee!

Now I am interested to see if the stronger wii u lineup will be noticed.

That is the word. .. noticed. ..

Is it really stronger now? :-/  Donkey Kong was delayed.  Sonic has gotten mediocre reviews and even though it might really be a good game, that's going to hurt sales.  What besides Mario does that leave to make Wii U stand out?  Mario will be good but can it carry the season?

All we're missing are some Indie games, all EA games and 2K Sports. Other than that, our line-up (bar exclusives) is practically the same to that of the PS4 yet fanboys don't see it...

The PS4 even has the same problem that the Wii U had: old ports. Sooner or later, fanboys will realize that their "next-gen" games aren't really next gen at all and will use the same reasoning that we Nintendo fans used when they bashed us.

Lol. What happened to your magical crystal ball that can predict the future? No one knows what can happen. For all we know, the PS4 could end up having a widespread issue the 360 faced in the older models. The PS4 and Xbox One have crappy launch games (with the good ones that were promised at launch, being delayed), just like almost every other console. The PS4 hype is just making people have unrealistic expectations.

It was in the shop.

But to be fair I believed the BS early line up Nintendo had last year and that was a joke too 8) lots of delays but we did get some good games.

IMO not all the games are crappy for the PS4.

And my Crystal ball still says PS4 will outsell wii u by March.

Same way Nintendo tricked me last year. Had a fair sized list of launch games and failed to deliver on 75% of the ones I wanted.

Kind of embellishing. I would buy the system anyway. Just would be nice too have more of the games I want. But there still are a few.

Oh okay, maybe where you are. I don't actively recall Second Son as a launch title over here, or perhaps I missed anything advertising as such. I know my friend was thinking that, but he might have just overhyped it so much his wishes got the better of him.

 

I'm looking forward to my PS4 a lot. As usual, I tend to pre-order a ton of games for a new system just so that there are a few things to play. I mean some games I never gave a second thought towards, more or less impulse buys. But I'm on the backlog so I won't be getting my system this year. EB attendant said I was one of the early people on the 2014 log, so I'll probably get mine late January/early February. Not that I have time to admire 8 or so games sitting on a shelf, I'll be overseas for most of that wait period.

 

I won't say you were tricked, that's just how things go. You shouldn't beat yourself into thinking you were duped big time. I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but go and enjoy all the other games life can give you. Like Final Fantasy XIII?! Man, I must be high to suggest that! That's pretty cray of me. I'll never do that again, I think. Well, I can't be thinking if I'm suggesting FFXIII. Don't do it man. Even if you already did, don't do it man.

Second Son was never a launch title, it was just the title they showed the most of to get people hyped about their expensive new console.

 

Was it delayed past the first quarter of 2014? Because that was the targeted release date.

I know I wasnt really tricked. I did buy into the hype (like I always do). I am excited for every system release. Wii U also!

I embellished a bit for fun. It is still irritating, but I have plenty of games to play. 8)

I'll just stick with my PC until a year or two after release for the two new systems. might not bother with them.
